I bought this mop with the thought of it being a wonderfully useful product since Rubbermaid is usually a good brand name. But i was soon to become very disappointed in the product. I put the cleaning solution in the bottle , snapped it in place and soaked my laminate floor, didn't even have to squeeze the trigger. liquid just keeps coming out. This would be a great product if it worked properly

Leaks like crazy!

I bought this at Target and loved it... UNTIL it started pouring water all over the floor! I fill up the bottle and the water just runs right out. I can see where it's coming from, but don't know how to stop it.

Disappointed

I bought this mop to replace a swiffer, as I liked that idea of being able to re-use the mop attachments and use my own floor cleaner. My mistake was expecting it to last. Like others, I noticed it would leak, but after a while it wasn't just leaking floor cleaner. I would spray and it would leak out rusty liquid. I thought it was form the screws getting wet so I would wipe as I needed to. Eventually the spray nozzle wouldn't work properly, and the rusty liquid seemed to get worse. So I've unscrewed the mop where I could, and found that the bottom of the handle that connects to where the bottle sits is completely rusted!Small wonder that the sprayer wasn't working! So now I'll need to replace the mop that I believed would be a lifetime mop. It's a reminder that nothing is built to last anymore.

I bought this mop and loved it but after using it several times it started leaking. I could deal with that but then the refill bottle became lodged and couldn't refill. I want another one so bad as it was my favorite mop i've used but don't want to waste money repurchasing.

Loved this mop and then it started to fail. Occasionally it woukd leak, then then bottle would get stuck and the sprayer began working working intermittently and then today it stopped spraying altogether. Nothing I could do would get it working again. I was half done with the mopping so I had to try pouring some product ahead of the mop just to complete the mopping.
I did consider getting a spray bottle to use with it, but having to do that defeats the purpose of having gotten this product.

It is a great mop system..the only flaw is the same issue everyone else complains about...the O-ring on the neck of the cleaner bottle is faulty...leaks all over the place.Wish I knew the size of O-ring so I could purchase just an O-ring,the rest of the mop system will virtually last for a very long time...Solidly built system if not for the O-ring problem.

Great mop but...

I have used this mop for my house and vacation rental. It always worked flawlessly.
The cap on the bottle clearly has a check valve to allow fluid to be dispensed but not leak. If the check valve (gasket) sticks the pump.wont squirt cleaning fluid. If it fails or falls out of the cap itll leak all over your floors and make a mess.
No biggie, replacing bottles every couple years is ok given the competition doesnt have refillable bottles. But not being able to purchase extra scrubbing pads doesnt make sense.
If your mop worked and then quit pumping (sucked in bottle) the gasket is stuck. If your mop suddenly started leaking everywhere it's the gasket which has failed or fell out. Either way it's the bottle cap. If it's hard to get in and out, it's the O-Ring on the cap. All roads point to the bottle. Its NOT the mop itself.
The CAP is the culprit.
Rubbermaid, please fix the cap and offer replacement scrubber pads. It's a great mop and worth more than you charge. Put a good engineer on the cap please.

I bought a Reveal Spray mop about 2 years ago. It always worked fine, until today when all of a sudden the stick broke at the swivel joint, unexpectedly. I don't over use my mop usually use it only once a week or less and I'm not very vigorous when I mop.
