2nd Reveal Mop-- Disappointed : (

I have purchased two Reveal mops, each lasting about 3 months. The first mop's trigger/handle mechanism broke, but I really like the idea of using my own cleaning solutions--so, I bought another one. I've had the second mop an even shorter amount of time and the bottom plastic piece that holds the mop pad just came off. I thought it had just "come apart", so I went to put it back together and I saw a plastic "thingy" had snapped off on the inside of the tube-- no way to fix that. At this price, these mops should last longer than that, not to mention the $ I'm out from buying extra bottles (to hold different cleaning solutions) and extra pads. I usually like Rubbermaid products, so I think it must just be a glitch with this mop

Love the product, but not durable

I purchased this mop over the summer, and it failed on me a short while ago. The plastic place where the mop head attaches to the handle broke off, and now the mop will not stay together. For the cost of this mop, it certainly should last longer. Not to mention the fact that I have purchased multiple pads and extra bottles to go along with it. I do, however, love the idea of the mop and that I am able to use my own cleaning products with it. That is the reason for my original purchase. I would purchase this again, assuming that the design flaw is fixed.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great idea but bad execution

I have used this spray mop for about a year now, about once a week. I find the spray weak and the mechanism that pumps the spray works about 70% of the time. I have resorted to using a spray bottle to wet the floor.
If made better and of better materials I would buy one again but as it is now I can't recommend the product.

question on blue rubber ring

Where is the blue rubber ring supposed to go? I can not put it on the bottle and then attach the bottle to the wand, it simply will not click in place with the ring on. Please advise asap as I would like to try this on my floors asap. Thanks for your help.

The blue foam ring is part of the packaging and should be discarded prior to using the mop.

Clean floors made easy!

I hate mopping. I'd rather clean toilets than mop. But six months ago I moved into a home with wood floors in the kitchen (as well as the dining & living rooms). Quickly, it became obvious that I was going to have to get over my hatred of mopping, or live with a filthy kitchen floor.
I purchased a Reveal Spray Mop and it changed everything.
I keep the bottle filled with water, a bit of vinegar and my favorite essential oil (currently sweet orange blossom) and can give the kitchen a quick clean up every day. It's also easy to mop the whole living area, carry it to each bathroom and get the floors in them sparkly clean too.
The removable, washable and reusable cleaning pad, means I don't have to trade waste for ease. I have a second pad, and so there's always one ready to use.
Love it!

This is the second Reveal we have had in the past year. Both have broke off at the head. The first one I thought was misuse because my teenage son was using it when it broke, but now I know that was not the case because this one broke at the same place while I was using it. We loved the idea of washing and reusing the pad and the fact that we could mix our own cleaning solutions. I'm now falling back on our old Swiffer that has been abused and still working, Sorry Rubbermaid, good try, but try again.

Great concept

Great concept, just improve so it more stronger. The handle breaks at the base where the head and handle meet, and it breaks where the handle meet the bottle base. I have purchase two of them and find they are breaking. Please make the handle stronger.

The spray mop really was Improved

My wife and I run a Fl motel and manage other condos. We started using a competitors mop and that thing broke apart weekly. We admit that we are rough on these.We switched to the Reveal mop and what an improvement but still had problems with handle breakage, sprayer, bottle and other little problems. We kept at least 3-4 of these at all times. We just recently purchased the Improved version and Wow.. All of the obvious problems were addressed. Better handle, sprayer, bottle removal, base attachment. The even took the wrapper off the bottle that peeled with use. This is used commercially cleaning rooms daily. It makes our job quicker, does a great job cleaning and washes up when your done. I've never written a review of any product before..that's how much I liked it.
