Used cleaning a H.U.D. building

I actually picked up my unit used as it was left behind in a H.U.D. building where I clean. I have probably used it now for much more than a year after it was discarded. No leaking problems, no trigger problems, no breaking of anything. After a while the pad did not stick to the bottom plate (perhaps the adhesion wears out.) 1 day it slipped through a slot in front of an elevator door and was gone. Oops! I need to replace the mop head now.
This is an extremely useful device for small clean up emergencies at a rather industrial housing complex and allowed me to give much better, faster service to my tenants which made them endlessly happy.
And durable? Remember I found my unit used, and am ready to use it more once I buy new pads.

Leaking bottle

I have used the spray mop for a couple of years and very pleased. But yesterday the bottle started leaking and of course leaves too much solution on the floor which meant I had to wipe the floor a second time with another mop. I wanted to replace the bottle but on the site there are no parts replacement. It leaks where the black ring is. Please let me know if it is possible to replace the bottle. Reading the reviews not sure I want to purchased another one.

Worked Great Until...

I bought this a little over a year ago. I liked the fact that I could wash the pads and use my own cleaner. It really reduced the time I spent cleaning my floors. It was great for about a year until the sprayer started acting up. It would pump once then I had to wait about 30 - 45 seconds before it would recoil back so I could spray it again. It was just out of warranty so I was using it as a standard mop for a few months spraying the floor with a spray bottle until the mop broke off the handle. UGH!!!!! I really liked the mop too bad it didn't last very long.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great until...

I have really enjoyed using this mop but one of my bottles will no longer spray. I wasn’t bothered too much since my kit had come with 2 bottles. But now my second bottle leaks! I’m disappointed to have to switch to a different mop.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Stopped workimg

I've had this mop for just over a year. Worked fine up until yesterday. The spray mechanism has just stopped working. Can no longer spray solution onto the floor. Such a disappointment.

Great with modifications

Over the last 4 years, I’ve have owned and used 3 Reveal Spray Mops. There are many reasons to love this mop. It is easy to use and light weight. The soft cloth microfiber pad is reusable, washable and does not leave streaks on laminate floors. The refill bottle is convenient to use with your own cleaning solutions, 2-3 tblsp. of a gentle cleaner (no ammonia) with water.
With some design modifications, this spray mop would be super great (!). Yes, I would buy a fourth one if available, and be willing to pay more for improvements to the basic design. Problems I’ve encountered: the trigger mechanism in the handle stopped working on 2 of the mops. The warranty replaced these mops. One of the bottles wouldn’t disperse solutions and now a leaking bottle issue has begun on my 3rd mop leaving puddles on the floor.
I’ve tried a popular competitor product and find it wanting. Their throw-away mopping pads leave streaks and I had to use 2 pads each time. Their priority solution/bottle doesn’t allow using your own cleaning solution and I think their cleaner is too harsh on my laminate flooring. And you have to use 4 batteries to squirt the solution on the floor. Because of these 3 points, it’s going to be more expensive to continue using.
My conclusion, if Rubbermaid were to rethink their Reveal Spray Mop design a little bit, they would have a BIG winner. Nonetheless, the basic design and its usage in my experience earns 4 stars.

A great mop until it wasn’t

We bought this mop to clean our newly installed hardwood floors. It worked great, so easy to use, refillable with your own choice of cleaners, reusable floor pads, easy to store. And then it went from hero to zero, when the trigger became dodgy and finally quit working altogether. I’ve noticed that this is a very common complaint among reviews.
Please, Rubbermaid, work out this flaw, and you’ll be aces again in my book.
