It is by far the best mop I've ever had, but I've only had it for 2 months and it broke where the mop swivels. I wish it was more durable, because I loved how you can choose the cleaning solution and you don't have to buy expensive refills. Definitely more durable than the stiffer mops!!!

A REAL cleaning tool

I clean homes for a living and I am thrilled with the Rubbermaid Reveal mop. I always despised the Swifter products because they are so flimsy and the pads do not stay on no matter how carefully I applied them. Also by the end of mopping the floor, the cleaning pad was nearly dry so I'd have to either replace the pad or go over part of the floor with a damp mop.
I loved the sturdy feel of the mop when I picked it up at the store and the fact that I do not have to buy any expensive pads or product other than my favorite cleaners. After each use I run vinegar water through the system to keep everything unclogged and in good working order. After 2 months, I've bought extra bottles and pads for convenience. I recommend this product to anyone who is really a "clean freak."

I was thrilled at first when I saw the commercial for this product, was looking for something to clean my hardwood floors using cleaning product recommended by manufacturer without the bucket! I went right out and bought it without checking the reviews first. Big mistake, when I got home to use the reveal mop I did have a hard time getting the bottle to spray. With some pressure applied to the bottle it did spray but it also continued to leak and didn’t always spray when I wanted it to. Too much frustration using this mop, I will go back to my old bucket and mop. Sorry I wasted my money (somewhat pricey). This product is a good idea but not quite ready for marketing!

So far so Good

I purchased the Reveal Mop and I used it for the first time today. I read about 10 reviews before starting. I am a trust but verify gal with this sort of thing. The reviews guided me to be patient with first use.
First I filled the bottle (which is the only prep needed yay!) No batteries not 6 or 7 pieces etc. So I filled the bottle 3/4 full and put it in place. I then pumped 15 times. (As 5-10x was recommended by a Rubbermaid CSR to other customers) No solution came out so I removed the bottle and there was a small amount of solution there so I put the bottle back and pushed it down firmly. I then held my Reveal Mop 100% Vertical while I primed it, after examining the anatomy of the mop this provided the best gravity and force behind the solution. It took 30 pumps (yes, I counted) and whoosh! Each pump thereafter gave a good stream of my solution. When starting out I sprayed about 5 times and ran the mop over it to kind of wet the microfiber cloth. The rest of the floor is now sparkling! I hope this helps others and also Rubbermaid.

I love this mop, especially the fact that i have sore wrists and regular mops are torture on my hands. Its a bonus that you can put your own cleaning solution in it since i prefer the more environmentally friendly cleaners. But like many other reviews, it just stopped spraying. This was about 2 x/ week for about a month, then it broke down. I was so broken hearted, i didnt even bother to call the company or return to the store i bought it from, i know it will just happen again. I will not purchase again UNLESS it is a newer improved model. So for now, my husband cleans the floors for me.

We do apologize that you are having trouble with your Reveal Mop. Some tricks for use:
1. Run the tip of the bottle under warm water for up to a minute before inserting into the mop.
2. Once the bottle has been clicked into the mop, you may need to "prime" the mop by pulling the trigger 5-10 times to pump the solution through.

Happy with Purchase

Warning: this is lengthy! I bought the Reveal about 18 months ago, and I've been very happy with my purchase. It has all the features that I was looking for in a mop: reusable cloth pads, the ability to use my own cleaner (I make my own cleaners due to respiratory issues and a tight budget), a spray feature which is awesome because it uses way less water than conventional bucket/mop combo, and under a certain price point. This fit the bill.
After using it for a good amount of time, there are a few things that I want to point out to others considering purchasing it. First, it is heavier than say a swiffer-type mop. I do find that my wrists get fatigued after long cleaning sessions (although I think it helps with the durability aspect. I'm crazy clumsy and have yet to break anything off of this or even ding it). Second, how do you intend to use this? For me, I use this mainly to wash wood floors (after vacuuming which greatly helps preserve the cleaning pads by the way) because its mist is fine enough that it does not damage anything. Third, the trigger for the spray works well for me. That being said, this was the one area that I felt they were slightly cheap material-wise (a poor move considering how pivotal it is for one of the main selling points). It should be metal or something more durable or at the very least one should be able to buy a replacement part. And lastly, there are two design elements that are really great: the hook and the swiveling (up/down) mop head. These features allow the mop to be hung with the mop head resting relatively flat. Perfect storage solution for my needs (against the wall in my laundry area). Overall, this is a well-thought out product that does what it says. If you think it'll meet your needs, then I recommend it.

I fell head over heels in love with this mop. It glides easily and can rotate and manuver to get under and around furniture legs. It has a washable pad and you can use your own cleaning solution. There are just many wonderful things about this mop. But then...two months later...the head broke off. Surely it was a fluke, it had to be something I did. So, I purchased another one. Not a fluke. This one lasted about four months. But then again, the head broke off. I will not purchase another one and I will miss it alot.

Bought and was very disappointed. Container wont come off of handle and sprayer only works after attempt after attempt at getting bottle positioned but rubber o-rings constantly come off. Will not putchase their products unless major improvements are done. Also this mop leaks constantly. Will not recommend to anyone!
