Revealing A Mediocre Product

I loved the idea of using my own cleaning solution and a re-useable dust/mop head and I was thrilled w/ it the first few times. I became disillusioned when the solution bottle wouldn't stay put & became cracked so easily. The trigger spray became clogged quickly and even after cleaning it's hard to squeeze & uneven. It seemed like a dream come true but a mop is easier to use and more effective.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Everything I wanted...until it broke

I liked that you could wash the mopping pad, instead of spending money to replace them. I also liked that you could use your own cleaning solution. The thing I didn't like was how hard it was to make it spray. Then today I went to use it and the handle completely broke off at the base while I was squeezing the lever to make it spray. And my 1 year warranty was up in Feb. I don't think I will be buying another one, due to poor quality.

No instructions!

You need to place instructions on the packaging for this mop. There are no instructions for actually getting started with the mop. It took me a half-hour before I could get the mop working. The packaging says to look online for detailed instructions and there aren't any there, either! I did not know what to do with the blue foam piece between the mop and the bottle - was it to be thrown away? I notice from other reviewers that I am not the only one who did not know how to get started. I could not get the sprayer to work at all. I looked online for other people's suggestions and some said to remove the tiny plastic "nub" from inside the cap on the spray bottle. I did so and the mop worked, but now it just leaks. I called Rubbermaid and am getting a new cap, thankfully, but all this trouble could have been avoided by including some simple instructions on the packaging for how to get started using this mop.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Instructions for the Reveal Mop are posted on our website on the product information page for the product. To view the instructions, you can click on the blue link titled "Use and Care Instructions".
The blue foam insert is part of the packaging and should be thrown away prior to using the mop.

rubbermaid reveal mop

I am on my second reveal mop. The first one the handle broke off and now the second one has stopped spraying, if I bang it on the floor a couple times, sometimes it will spray. Very dissappointed with this mop. The sad thing is I recommended it to a couple other people and they have also had to return their's.

We do apologize that you are having trouble with your Reveal Mop. If your mop is no longer spraying:
1. Fill the bottle with hot water.
2. Run the red tip of the bottle under hot water for up to a minute before inserting into the mop.
2. Once the bottle has been clicked into the mop, you may need to "prime" the mop by pulling the trigger 5-10 times to pump the solution through and to clear any clog that may be present in the sprayer.
If you feel your Rubbermaid item is defective and failed shortly after purchase, we ask that you contact our Consumer Services Department toll free at 888-895-2110, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. EST, M-F.

Great product other than the trigger broke

I love this mop, especially the fact that i have sore wrists and regular mops are torture on my hands. Its a bonus that you can put your own cleaning solution in it since i prefer the more environmentally friendly cleaners. But like many other reviews, it just stopped spraying. This was about 2 x/ week for about a month, then it broke down. I was so broken hearted, i didnt even bother to call the company or return to the store i bought it from, i know it will just happen again. I will not purchase again UNLESS it is a newer improved model. So for now, my husband cleans the floors for me.

Mop was a HUGE disappointment!

Purchased the mop less than a year ago, I mop my floor on average once per week, I washed my picture window with it once. It is NOT durable, the handle broke off right where it connects to the bottle holder. I have a 3yr old and 17 month twins, there tends to be food stuck to the floor. As a result I push a fair amount to "scrub" the sticky spots. As I was applying pressure down, the handle snapped off. If a person just wants to mop the dust off their floor or wah windows, then it is a good mop, but it is not built to withstand "scrubbing" motion!

Bad performance, attractive looking mop.

Bought product over a year ago, really bad performance, sprayer doesn't spray for long before it stops working, I can't figure it out at all. Really happy that rubbermaid stands behind their products, this is the second replacement mop that I'm getting. Hopefully they can get it right.

Not a good buy

I liked this product at first. It worked well and I liked it better than my previous mop, but the refill plastic bottle collapsed inward from suction and so the sprayer would no longer work. I had to remove the bottle and physically squeeze it back into shape. It would work for a few more sprays and then would collapse in again. Also the handle snapped off from the base just below the bottle at the joint and is now completely broken. It didn't completely break till just past the year warranty so I couldn't get a refund. It should have lasted longer.
