YOU CAN FIX IT! DON'T GIVE UP ON THIS AWESOME MOP!

You're going to think I work for Rubbermaid -- I don't -- Just a NC stay-at-home mom who USED to be a Swiffer Wet Jet lover. This mop is WAY better -- stronger, better spray, and much more economical!! So my mop stopped spraying properly after 5 weeks ....It would do one spray and then take about 5 minutes to be able to spray again. I realized that I had used a wood floor cleaner that was too greasy -- I think I clogged the line somehow. I took the bottle off, sprayed the red screw on lid with 409 de-greaser and soaked it in a cup of hot water for just a minute...then ran it under hot water. Then I stuck the mop in the sink, sprayed it with some 409 cleaner and then ran hot water directly onto to where the bottle attaches....I repeatedly squeezed the spray handle and NOW IT WORKS LIKE IT'S BRAND NEW AGAIN!! Good luck with this EASY FIX -- and DON'T USE ANY HARD WOOD FLOOR CLEANERS WITH OIL IN THIS MOP.

Disappointed

Love the mop but disappointed that the spray handle keeps breaking, it stops spraying after about a month. I went out and bought a second mop only to have the spray handle break again. Will not be buying another one

My 2nd disappointment

This is the second one I bought after the first one's handle broke off. I have only had it for a few months and I started having the same problem this time as I did last time which is the spray handle does not want to spray. I thought since it was a newer version that it would be better it worked right for about 2 weeks then started acting up. I wish I would have not wasted my money on another one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice concept, but flawed design

I'm sorry, but as much as I'd like to love this product, I can't.
The first one I bought had an o-ring which broke. resulting in excessive leakage. The next one had a small rubbery part on the inside cap break into pieces, again, resulting in the cleaning solution leaking out completely. Either I am the unluckiest shopper, or the R&D team hasn't been doing their homework.

Not a money pit

I bought this mopping system about 4 months ago and I love that it doesn't need special chemicals. That you can mix your own cleaner for this mop. It doesn't require batteries and the mop heads can be washed about 100 times before it needs replacing. I love this thing.

Excellent product with one major problem

I've owned my Reveal Spray Mop for about one year and I've been very impressed. The design is superb, easy to use, does what it's suppose to do (clean floors) without having to get on your hands and knees, the easy to attach washable mop is durable, and my hardwood floors look fantastic. I use a premixed hardwood floor cleaner (Bona) and never have any clogging up of the spray mechanism. The one major problem ....... the handle broke off the other day. Seems to be a reoccurring issue in the on-line reviews. Rubbermaid, in your next redesign of this product, focus on a more durable handle attachment to the wand, even if you have to charge a little more, and you'll have a close to perfect product second to none.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Reusable cleaning pad, disposable mop

I have purchased two of these mops over the past year. The handle on the first one broke after about three months of use. Since I really liked the features of this mop, I purchased another, and I rationalized that it was probably designed with a 5'4' 110 lb user in mind, rather than someone who is 6'4" and 210 lbs. With the second one, I was more careful with the pressure I used when mopping, and I have had no problem with the handle; however, again, after about 3 months the spray mechanism no longer works. So I ask, what good is a reusable mopping pad, when the mop itself has to be discarded after 3 months

Best buy mop

Absolutely love this mop. The fact you can use what you want to clean the floor is just what I needed as I use white vinegar/water on the floors. It is well worth the cost as this is so versatile in what you use to clean and the fact that the mop head is washable! I have recommended this to all my friends as the best mop ever.
