Love this mop!

I've been looking for a great mop forever and am so glad to have found this one! My husband and I each wanted to be the first one to try it, and we weren't disappointed! It is easy to use, the spray bottle makes it so much easier than using a bucket, and the fact that I could reuse the pad after tossing it in the wash is great and economical!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this product because I liked the concept of the spray mop, but the leading proprietary brand was making my cat sick, as she would roll around on the wet floors and lick the cleaning solution off her fur.
I live in a suite with radiators and a lot of furniture. I particularly like the low-profile swivel head, as it allows me to get under the rads with ease. I use Murphy's Oil Soap in the main rooms, and want to find another spray bottle so I can keep one loaded with MelaMagic or PineSol for the kitchen and bath. (I can't seem to find the bottles anywhere around here...)
Three pieces of advice:
1) It takes a long time to prime the sprayer unit the first time. Subsequent uses aren't so bad, but I spent a good ten minutes pulling that trigger and wondering if it was broken.
2) Buy more pads. Buy more pads than you think you'll ever need, especially if you have pets. Animal hair gunks them up pretty fast, and they're really only good for about 250-300 square feet before you need to change it. I go through 2-3 to clean my apartment.
3) Make sure you store the bottle upright between uses, or the nozzle will clog up. Rinsing my Reveal in the kitchen sink with boiling water was an ...interesting experience.
I'd love it if future versions had a battery operated option, just because I have arthritis in my hands and mopping a whole two bedroom apartment with a manual spray trigger gets hard on the joints.
I love my Reveal and have recommended it to several friends. I absolutely love that I can use my own cleaning solution, that I can wash and reuse the heads, and that it's so easy to use.

A solution!

I bought the Reveal mop when it was first introduced and have been thankful for it ever since. We have two dogs and two cats and wood floors that are in constant need of cleaning. The other wet mops on the market did not work on my black wood floor, leaving water marks. The microfiber pad on the Reveal, however, cleans and dries at the same time, leaving no marks! I have read other reviews where there have been complaints of the bottle collapsing and this also happened to mine. However, I found that if I pour boiling water, very carefully and wearing rubber gloves, into the bottle, it softens the plastic and it pops right back out and ready to go to work again. I hope this will be helpful for everyone who loves their Reveal mop but is frustrated with the bottle.

Good concept -- poor design. Unlike most of the negative reviews, I did NOT have any problems with the sprayer or bottle. They worked fine. My problem was (like Oregon101) the mop head fell off after only the third time I used it. I kept re-attaching it but it would keep falling off during use -- very frustrating. After closer inspection I can see why -- poor design in how the mop head is attached to the handle. After a few uses and exerting heavy pressure during mopping the handle "clip" is pushed open and will not close enough to secure the mop head any more. Maybe if you are dainty and don't push down on it the attachment will last longer, but I'm 6'3" and 225 lbs, and I was just trying to clean my kitchen floor. I replaced with a similar mop from Clorox, which has a solid clip/pin where the mop head attaches, so I don't expect the same issue. I always think Rubbermaid = high quality, so this was a big disappointment after only a few uses.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thought I loved this mop...till now

I was in love with the Reveal mop until just recently. Now the head of the mop comes off the handle during regular use. The concept is great, the design is flawed. Would not recommend this to anyone.

BUT! It does come with some new problems that need to be addressed. One being the spray part. Seems like many are experiencing problems with this. Me being one of them. Waiting for the kinks to be ironed out. Hopeful;ly soon.

This mop is very well made. I especially like that I can use my own cleaner and reuse the pad. This allows me to save money and use the environment-friendly cleaning formula that I prefer.
