Great product, but takes forever for driver update

I've had this product for about 11 months now and each time there's an OS update for Mac, it takes forever for the drivers to be updated so that the ethernet plug is compatible again. This is very frustrating and when you contact tech support they can never give you a date as to when it will be resolved. Mac OS 11 came out a month or so ago and we've now got 11.1 and there's still no driver update rendering the ethernet port on the adapter useless.
When it works though, it's brilliant. 5 stars.

Portable Docking Station

I really like this little adapter. It’s small so I can bring it anywhere, and it quickly becomes a docking station for me when traveling. It’s got everything I need; gigabit Ethernet, 4K HDMI (which looks great on Hotel TVs!) 2 USB ports and then the best part, only one cable to plug into my laptop since I can also connect my power adapter right to it! The cable is the perfect length to both use and travel with, and the adapter itself is solid and the ports well made. I definitely won’t travel without it!

Good adapter to have when all you have is USB-C

This is a very convenient adapter to have in ones collection.
Having a system with just USB-C is very limited and this adapter makes life a lot easier.
This adapter takes one usb-c port and takes it too 2 usb 3.0 ports, Gigabit ethernet and Hdmi. There is a power usb-c hookup as well.
Overall everything worked without issue. I did find this adapter to not feel as solid as some others i have tried but only using for a long time will determine its longevity.

for a small adapter with the most basic ports this could be one of the most reasonable.

So many things in a small package

I have tested this dock with multiple devices including Lenovo laptops and even Samsung S8 phone. There are so many ports and everything works well and quickly.
This dock comes in a box about the size of 3 DVD cases. If feels very light and is made of metallic coloured plastic. Everything connects to the dock nice and firmly so the cables don't wiggle lose. The dock is about the size of a deck of cards with round sides and a 10 inch cord. The dock can pass through power to charge the device that is connected using the USB-C port.
When I connected this dock everything connected started working automatically within seconds. The network worked fast and I never noticed a glitch from the HDMI port. This dock is actually labeled as an "adaptor" but it more like 5 adaptors in one and enough ports for everything that I would normally use in a docking station.
This adaptor/dock worked really fast and reliably with everything I connected to it. I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review.

Connectivity issues on 2017 15" MacBook Pro

I've had this adapter for 6 months, and it has consistent problems with the HDMI not communicating with monitor, requiring repeated insertion to get both the HDMI and ethernet to work. Otherwise, happy with the performance of the device (except that it doesn't passthrough enough power to charge 15" MBP).

Works great with my Windows 10 laptop and MBP

I used this product on my Dell XPS 13 and my MBP and it works well with both.
It's small, compact, and fits nicely in my my slim messenger bag. It has the two most important ports for presentations which is Ethernet and HDMI which are two ports that don't seem to be included on the newest ultrabooks these days in favour of USB-C ports. Dongles are our life now and this one does the job well. No drivers or software needed, just plug and play.

Great addition to the laptop bag!

So much provided in one little device! I mean really, it's more of a "docking station" than simply an "adapter". Yet it fits in one's pocket!
The adapter can be used with or without the laptop's power passing through.
With power connected, everything works, AND the laptop charges.
If you are going to go from powered to unpowered or vice versa, disconnect the whole device, add/remove power, then reconnect the device. This prevents the video passthrough from hanging up.
Would still prefer to a removable USB-C cable on this, so I can use a longer cable or replace it (I broke the USB-C connector on a previous model (the black one), so the whole device went out with the bathwater, so to speak. But.... this device does what it is supposed to do, so I'm not complaining about the design too much!
