Power Passthrough doesn't work

The ports generally seem to work. It's competent for extending my macbook pro's display to an HDMI cable. However, it does not pass power back to my laptop when I plug in the USB-C power cable to the port with a plug next to it. Very Frustrating. My workplace chose this for me so I don't really have choices at the office, but I have not had this problem with competing products from other companies.

The product used to be able to extend monitors. But for some strange reason, it now failed to work.
