Sad to say I wasn’t impressed with this safe, after changing the manufacturing code to a code of my own, I wasn’t able to open the safe again. Another safe is suppose to be sent to me in place of the one I can’t open but I haven’t heard anything back about whether my replacement has been sent.

I used it for about a week until what im guessing was the lock jumped code and I was stranded in the middle of nowhere on a hunting trip with my keys and cell phone locked inside of it. Had to pry it open and pretty much destroy it.

Lock Doesn't Work

Set my own combination and tested to be sure I could open. No problem. Second time I attempted to open it, it would not open. I now have a safe that is permanently locked. Just glad it is empty and not tethered in a hotel room somewhere. It is too bad because otherwise this seems to be just what I was looking for. Compact. Lightweight. Steel.
