Defective K-Cups

I decided to try this coffee in spite of the posted warniings of the K-Cups "explodiing" or "overflowing." They did both, and the final experience was so messy I am thowing out about a 15 of the K-Cups left in the box. I had to clean out the probe, take the holder apart, clean the counter and - of course - throw out the K-Cup as no water ever got through it, just went around it. Timothy's Rainforest Espresso and Green Mountain Sumantan Reserve both have excellent depth, flavor and arome so I shall stick with them - along with Green Mountain Lake and Lodge which I also like. I'll continue to experiment with others, but take heed when repeatedly warned!
This was my favorite coffee of all time until the K Cups started bursting. Made a mess of my brewer and my coffee cup. The last two cartons (48 K Cups!) of Italian Roast Extra bold were bad. When I called to complain, the Keurig folks graciously provided a coupon for 5 free K Cups - how lame!
This is the blend that is always gone first! I have to purchase many more packs than any other brand/flavor. Sometimes I even hide the last pack so that I can assure to have this blend until the next order arrives.
so this tastes good and is not too strong nor too weak. but the cups! they don't work! they leak and hiss and all that. I tried the trick of poking the pinhole in that I read in other posts and that helps it from totally exploding but still not a great experience. I can always tell when this kind is in the brewer as I hear hissing and spitting. I will not be purchasing again.
I'm 61 years old and before I bought my Keurig coffee machine I probably had drunk less than fifty cups of coffee. I am a rank amature when it comes to coffee, but and here comes the cliche, I know what I like. I've tried quite a few of the coffee varieties and have settled on the Italian roast. I'm not going to even try to pretentiously describe the subtle this and that of the variety. I'm just going to say, I like it best of all the ones I've tasted.
Pros: Smooth Taste, It just tastes good, Not Bitter, Pleasing Aroma, Attractive Mouthfeel/Body, Balanced Acidity, Pleasing Roast
I love Tully's Italian Roast Coffee...in the K-Cups and the drip coffee. The trouble is, the K-Cups of this particular coffee (or brand?) are poorly made or designed or something. I have bought several boxes of this coffee and almost all of them have had some defective cups in which the seal leaks all over the place, making a huge mess. And some of the boxes have had more than half of the K-Cups do this. I love the coffee but I am going to switch to another brand because wasting coffee is not cost-effective!
