I've tried almost all the coffee varieties offered at keurig.com and this is my favorite. I had a tough time finding a strong enough coffee that wasn't bitter to me like French Roast but Tully's Italian Roast is perfect. If you like milder subtle coffee you will hate this.
The only draw back is the obvious. It is NOT Keurig's fault--if you call them they will tell you how to clean the K-cup area...useless. I called Keurig, then Tully's and was directed to Green Mountain, who packages the cups. GM said that because the K-cup had a certain amount of gas in it from the coffee, to put the cup in the holder with the top of the brewer OPEN, grasp the sides of the cup with fingers under the outside of the holder and press down onto the bottom injector. This releases the gas, so when the top goes down, the brewing starts. It works, mostly. A wide mouth cup will also stop the counter from being messed up. The coffee is too good not to drink, although Barista Italian is close. Hope this helps.
I like a bold, robust coffee but not the smokey/burst aftertaste of a french roast. I like non-fat milk in my coffee, but need that rich flavor to come through. Tully's Italian Roast hits the mark for me. I've bought it as part of my standard stock for a couple years now. Haven't had the leaking problem some others have mentioned.
Pros: Not Bitter, Pleasing Roast, Smooth Taste, Pleasing Aroma
I have tried many different types of coffees with my Keurig and this has to be my favorite dark roast coffee. It has a pleasing flavor with a rich aroma.
