Can't find the French Roast flavor; bitter

The roasting/blend of Tully's French Roast has changed. Used to be my favorite. Now, there is no French Roast flavor in the coffee-tastes like it was made from over-roasted beans.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What Happened??

Like I said earlier, "what happened??" I just received the 80 ct. French Roast K-cups...I don't care what the label says, THIS IS NOT TULLY'S FRENCH ROAST!! I've bought Tully's French Roast in the past and thought it was some of the BEST coffee around, but this last shipment is bad enough to make me change my mind. This stuff I just received is some of the weakest coffee I've ever tasted. I consider myself an avid coffee drinker, and I know what French roast should be and this is NOT it. I'll have to see if I can get a refund...
Cons: Not Enough Flavor, Roasted Too Light, Thin Or Watery Mouthfeel/Body

This is a truly memorable cup of coffee

I live in Fort Bragg, CA home to two very excellent coffee roasters. This French Roast rivals their output on a very, very good day. Folks who give it a negative review simply don't like deep, full bodied blends of coffee.
A cup in the evening creamed with eggnog is absolutely the best (unless you have to sleep :-).
Pros: Smooth Taste, Balanced Acidity
I would recommend this to a friend!

True Frensch Roast Flavor

I am a dark roast coffee drinker (French and Italian) and drink several cups in the morning. I drink tea after lunch. Lighter coffee roasts, even the expensive, gourmet ones, always taste and smell like convenience store coffee to me. I routinely buy green beans and roast at home in a Roast-2 roaster. I also grind my beans daily and avoid storing roasted coffee beans for any length of time. I bought a Keurig 70 recently because my coffee makers just don't heat the water enough. A Melitta manual system and boiling water is too much trouble. I also wanted the convenience of brewing what I need and providing options for others to drink what they like, instead of my dark roasts. I bought and sampled many K-cups and so far the Tully's French Roast Extra Bold is the only thing that comes close to what I roast and brew in terms of boldness, body, taste, and aroma. Other cups, even in the small brew sizes, are too weak and watery for my taste. I have ordered the Tully's Italian and the decaf French and will see how those fare. I would like to buy mini K cup paper filters for brewing my own coffee without the residual oils that are not filtered with the reusable Keurig filter K Cup. I don't know if these are available.
I myself use a little lowfat milk in my coffee. I love the finish of this coffee. I had a good variety of K-cups for the holidays. My mother said this was her favorite too.
