FRENCH ROAST-USA OR CANADA?

Why the difference between USA French Roast which is, as it turns out, is actually a Mediun roast.
The Canada (Montreal-Quebec) French roast is actually the original Seattle French Dark Roast .
When I want a DARK roast I will buy and enjoy the Canada Dark roast.
I started drinking Tully's Coffee in Seattle, Tacoma, and Port Angeles from the beginning at their coffee shops. No longer in existence. It seems the USA blend is not it for me! (also, for me no longer in existence).

Looking for a dark roast (used to drink Barista Prima Dark Italian roast but they changed it. Not as good.) This is ok but not great.
