Do not buy these fans

There is a true product defect in the fan receivers that causes the light to flicker. They know it but haven't fixed it and won't admit it. I've had this issue for many months and thought it was the wiring, hired someone to work on it and it's definitely the receiver. It's past 1-year so not under warranty and they won't replace it.

GARBAGE JUST LIKE ALL THE OTHER LOW REVIEWS. The positive reviewers will turn negative soon enough. The receivers on these fans break and leave your lights useless. It's a common problem hunter knows about and does nothing about. Instead all they do is recommend you buy a new receiver from them and replace it. They will not compensate or replace the part for you. They basically steal from their customers. DO NOT BUY

Lights flicker!

Bought 3 of these in 2020. Easy to install and run quiet. Only one has worked fine with no issues. But the other two I have been working on for over a year trying to resolve light flicker and quick power off/on issues. Bulbs are well within the 14w tolerance (8.5w) and all connections have been tested to ensure they are tight. I've managed to fix one (for now?) by reinstalling. The final one remains a mystery. I have read about bypassing wattage limiters etc. online but should I really have to jerry-rig this unit myself? Irrespective of the cost of the unit it should work as it is intended, which this does not.

Hello, a quick and easy solution to this issue, is to turn on the dimming toggle. Here are the steps. 1. Press and hold the ZERO button and do quick press on the light button on the remote. 2. Now a long press on the light button will dim the lights. ~Stacy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been looking for right fan for my living room in replacement for the basic fans they put into your home. I was a little hesitant about the black but it actually looks awesome hanging from my living room beam. I have always loved the awesome quality and different styles of Hunter fans and this one hasn't disappointed either.

Flickering Problem stopped after a year of use

I have three of these fans and all 3 are working great, now. The first two I bought are installed in our bedrooms. For the first year I had the same problems with the lights/fans flickering like there was a loose wire. Had the same electrician who installed them for me take a look buy couldn't find anything wrong with the wiring. Then, after a year of use, the flickering stopped and they work great. Have had no problems with the bigger fan installed in the basement. I love the profile of these fans as well as the remote control. Would have rated them 4 stars if not for the frustration for the first year.

Long delay for light to turn on

Installed in a bedroom with a wall switch, as I'm sure most installations are. Fan is solid and doesn't wobble even on high setting. Remote is simple in design and works fine. But when I flip the wall switch it takes a full 3 seconds for the LED lights to turn on. I've experienced delay with other LED lights, more like a millisecond and just a perceptible delay, but not 3 seconds! Tried with different style bulbs and same delay, so it's not even the LED. Expected a lot more from Hunter and for the price I paid. I will be returning.

We have a "90%" LED lighted home, and a significant number of those lights are either Philips Hue or LIFX full color bulbs. When we bought the previous fan in this room, almost all ceiling fans had Edison sockets, which we eventually filled with full-color controllable bulbs.
But when we went shopping for a replacement fan, we found most light kits are either monochrome or "CCT", which only controls how yellow or "blue" (think, daylight) the light is.
After much searching, we found the Hunter Dempsey, which has two E26 (think "ordinary light bulb") sockets, which we have filled with full-color app-controllable bulbs.
The fan is working well and is well-balanced. It seemed a little odd that the "controller" (the electorincs box) is just sitting loose in part of the upper housing, but it didn't cause any real problem.
Like other fans we've bought over the years, there is a temporary hanger for use during installation, and while the space is pretty tight when working with a low-profile fan, we were able to get everything running on the first try.

Lights Flicker

Bought three of these and had them professionally installed. The lights flicker on all three. Had the installers back twice and this is apparently a known issue with this model based on reviews on multiple web sites.
