Close but not close enough 🥺

The idea of this utility knife is a good one but I am disappointed that there are no directions to putting in the blade and how to fold it digitally or other wise.
When I ask for help I want/need the help as soon as possible. The bot on the chat option was not helpful especially with its follow up option… to submit a support request ticket.

My New Favorite Utility Knife

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Stanley #099 WAS my favorite utility knife. I own many different utility knives, including different brands and styles. My favorite knife was the Stanley # 099 untill now. I got the Stanley Compact Folding Utility Knife and have been nothing but empressed and now my favorite utility knife. Fit, Feel, and Funtion all are fantastic. It fits my hand like my pocket kife and is very comfortable to hold and use. It is very secure and funtions like my pocket knife. It opens with one hand and locks in place with a liner lock that is easy to manipulate. It does not rattle like others, not the blade holder or the blade. The blade is firmly secured in place but is easely replaced with a touch of a button. Everything operates with one hand and the bely clip is positioned for s point down carry.
This is now my new favorite utility knife.!

Near perfection utility knife

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Until I got this in my hands, I wasn't sure the feel and fit was going to be correct. However, once I got it out of the packaging, it has been nothing but a pleasure. I mean, OK, this isn't rocket science, but this knife is almost perfection in a utility knife. The size, the heft, the quality, it's all there. Easy push button for blade replacement. A removable clip to keep it in place in your pocket or pouch. Stanley yellow color which makes it hard to lose when you drop it in the weeds (ask me how I know).
I love knives that use the replaceable blades for the obvious reasons. I have a smaller replaceable blade knife that has been my EDC, but this one is arguing its case well to become the new daily. If you are looking for a new knife of this type, I don't know how this could be improved.

very useful when yiu dont want to use a very expensive knife to cut something and overall great knife. mine came with very loose screws so i would suggest titening your screws a bit if bade holder is wobble.

My replacement knife

To open pull back blade head and lock in place. To close, place down metal tang on the inside track and fold blade head back in place. Only thing this is missing is blade storage.

Versatile and useful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The compact folding utility knife is lightweight. I liked that it has a belt clip as well. The knife include one blade. I liked that the blade is easy to insert. I found that it can only be inserted one way. You press down on the pressure button at the top of the knife and slide the blade into the housing. Once it's fully inserted you hear a click as you release the pressure button. To fold the knife you press a tab on the inside of the base and fold. Overall the product fits my needs well. I found it cut smoothly and evenly.

Nearly the perfect foldable knife

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is nearly the type of foldable knife that you can buy for life and depend on it to cut everything. I only wish that there was somehow an option to store at least one more blade within the inside of this knife. It does come with one included blade though, and it seems more durable than the standard set of stanley blades I have so far.
The only other thing that I wish was done better is the release mechanism. It hasn't given me much trouble yet, but it is a bent piece of steel that is slightly sprung in itself to release the folding mechanism. It sometimes is inconsistent in the release pressure.
Other than that, I am extremely happy with this and the compact size it offers. It is very scratch proof and the bright yellow makes it easy to find in the toolbox.

Very handy knife
