Piece of junk out of the Box lock.

Mine didn't work at all. No programable, no reset. Nothing.

Hello Patrick Hu,
We're happy to help ensure your Powerbolt 250 is working. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
1. Open the door and lock the latch so that it's extended. Remove the key from the key cylinder.
2. Unscrew and remove the interior assembly of the lock and ensure that the Flat Blade piece is in the vertical position and the cable is plugged in.
3. Reattach the interior assembly and keep the latch locked. Please do not try to unlock it and keep the key out as well.
4. Replace the batteries and factory reset the lock per step 16.
5. Perform the Door Rehanding per step 15.
6. Reprogram a user code in step 6.

I bought two for my new house and installed them without issues. However neither lets me set the first code. I follow instructions and it blinks red at the end, every single time. Instructions only tell me that if it blinks red, it was unsuccessful, but doesn’t say anything else.
I threw away the boxes and don’t know if I can return.

Amazing addition to my home

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This lock was an amazing addition for my home. If my son gets dropped off with no one home and forgets his key. If I want to garden out front but ensure no one can get in while I’m distracted. Or my spouse wants to go for a walk or bike ride without worrying about needing a key to lock up or get in the house. I can’t believe I didn’t get one sooner!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you’re sick of having to dig out a house key every time you come home, this is for you! Fairly easy installation. We have several codes programmed, so that each family member can easily remember their own. I program a code for the girl who takes care of our pets when we’re gone, then I remove it when we return. Easy to do. Looks sleek and not bulky. Definitely a winner!

The keypad is great and also easy to use. This looks great on my door and gives me added protection to my home and leaves me with a feeling of extra safety. I like that.

CONVENIENT, CONFIDENT SAFETY

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With the help of my son-in-law I now have my Kwikset Powerbolt 250 installed. I’m not always confident with my DIY abilities, but with his guidance, installation was quite simple. I installed the lock on my garage-to-house door and truly enjoy being able to have my house secured when I leave, without having to hunt for a key every time I leave/enter. I feel safe knowing that when I close my door I’m now also automatically keeping it locked until I return. The keypad is easy to use and also allows family members to enter without me having to go down a flight of stairs to let them in. Also like the ability to issue temporary codes, should the need arise. Wish I had installed this years ago!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using this Kwikset powerbolt 250 transitional keypad electronic deadbolt for about a week now. My family really appreciates it. We replaced a different brand's smart lock for this one. I'm glad that I did. It's much more convenient as the other lock had a separate key pad and the touch function didn't always work. I like that each number has it's own button vs the ones that have 2 numbers on each button. We have a few different codes programmed for each person in the home and we have not run into any issues since installing it. The installation was fairly easy and this deadbolt fits perfectly on a classic door. I'm happy about this change.
