[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to receive this Kwikset keypad in satin nickel and was disappointed when the inside box and knob are made of black plastic. The keypad itself works wonderfully and is a beautiful satin nickel. The inside, however, that you see inside your house is black plastic. This would be awesome if both sides were satin nickel. It makes me wonder about the longevity with the deadbolt knob being made of plastic. Time will tell. We have used many Kwikset products and always been happy. I just wish the materials were better thought out on this one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

When you're carrying in your groceries, you dont have to have your keys ready, or put things down to fish them out of your pocket. Simply punch in your code and you're in! It's super easy to install - took all of 10 minutes.
I've been waiting a while for something like this - so happy we've finally got it! Highly recommend.

Stylish keypad deadbolt

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sturdy deadbolt with the added convenience of the touch button keypad. Easy to set up, just install batteries and folllow the programming protocols. Really appreciate the finish on the outside in the satin nickel. No more having to dig my keys out if the pocket Ave find the keyhole in the dark to get in. Also super convenient be able to give the code to a neighbor or family member to be able to get in if needed to pet sit, borrow something, etc.

Good Keyless Entry

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a solid keypad deadbolt if you are interested in going for a keyless entry. It is not super fancy like some of the wireless entry or fingerprint scan deadbolts but it works well if code based entry is what you are looking for. There is still the option to use the key in case you forget the code or the batteries die, so you won't end up locked out. I prefer individual number buttons but for aesthetic reasons, I understand going with the dual purpose buttons. The deadbolt takes 4 AA batteries which is pretty standard for these types of locks and you will get a pretty long life from those as this is not a battery drainer that will have you scrambling for batteries every few months. The nickel finish is nice and clean and overall will give you a good look on your door. The interior portion is made of plastic which is a bit light feeling and not as sturdy as I would hope but its not really a problem. Installation is easy with good directions and templates for drilling the necessary holes if you don't already have them. If you are replacing an existing deadbolt this fits in pretty much any standard hole so no drilling should be needed. This is a nice code based deadbolt that will give your entry a more modern feel. It does what it was designed to do, so I can't really complain.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The lock was super easy to install. They give you extra long screws for the door jam and catch to make the lock extra secure. It works flawlessly. It's relatively quietly less noisy than my other lock. It's well built and installed without any problems.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I very rarely know where my car keys are as I have a key fob and don’t need to have my keys out to start my vehicle. I always have my house key on my keychain but it’s a hassle to dig through my purse when my hands are full to unlock the door. I love that this keypad is easy to set or change the code. It lights up bright enough when trying to use in the dark also. Until using this keypad regularly I never knew how much I needed it - now I don’t ever want to be without one!
This brand is far more user friendly than other brands I have used! As a young female I have little experience with installing much home related but this only took about a half hour and I thought it was fairly simple! I love the extra sense of security the electronic deadbolt gives me!
