I found the motorized retractable ceiling TV mount to be easy enough to install, but it did require a little bit of creativity for my application. Like many others, I installed this on a sheetrock ceiling so the included instructions weren't terribly helpful. I wound up bridging a few trusses with thick plywood and using my own hardware to secure the mount.
The motion is a little bit on the slow side, but that's probably safer than a heavy TV quickly swinging around my room. I would not hesitate to recommend this mount to anyone.

It would be nice if it could extend down longer, have a faster motor, and a better & more detailed instructions. Besides those things, it’s a cool mount.

The mount was easy to install and will fit a variety of of sets. It was a little slow going up and down but that is not a big problem. Will use again if needed.
