If you cannot affoard anythingelse..this will do.

It does what is supposed to with a few simple modifications. The c-clamp doesn't close all the way down on a normal sized desk, so you will need to install a spacer block in order to install. The VESA mount bracket is quite flimsy as it just rests on two pins and allows for play. The screw included to control the tilt does not stay tight and you will need to either replace with another 6mm 12mm coarse threated screw with a lock washer to keep your monitor from tilting forward. Also noticed my monitor is tilted a little to the right due to the play.

Very good buy and a nice space saver

I've been using 2 of these to mount two different monitors. Make sure your have vsea mounts on whatever you want to mount. The very smallest the clamp goes is about 1\ or 1 1/2\" so if your desk isn't that large then just put a thick cardboard piece between the clamp and the desk. It's not considered the safest option but it gets the job done. I've had mine on for a good 3-4 months like that and there's no sign of the monitors slipping from the desk. Make sure to really REALLY tighten the clamp on first installation. If you can spend the extra couple dollars

Pretty good so far

Pretty good so far. Seems well made and sturdy. Clamp mounts securely to my desk. Typical of text translated into English, the instructions leave a lot to be desired, even with drawings. The problem I had was, there is a threaded hole (actually I think it might be what's called a nutsert) at the top of the mast that accepts a \wing bolt\" to tighten the tilt adjustment. The wing bolt would not thread past the bottom of the threaded hole and I didn't want to force it and the size is not specified (it's M6 x 1). I had to borrow a metric tap to chase the threads and get the wing bolt to work and secure the monitor. Not sure of the longevity of all the plastic fittings but we'll see."

This thing cannot be beat for thirty bucks. It is beefy and well made. I used it to mount a 32 inch 4K monitor that is around 20 pounds and it is holding up just fine. The only complaint I have is that they only include two screw lengths for the mounting bracket (short screws for a flat back monitor and longer screws with spacers for the curved backs). However, the short screws were too long for my flat back monitor so I had to reuse the stand screws, which were a bit too short but I made it work.Overall, I highly recommend this stand for a clean and slick set up.

I am pleasantly surprised how sturdy and stout this item is

I am pleasantly surprised how sturdy and stout this item is. I was a little nervous about that before buying since it was the lowest-cost offering, but I am very glad I went with this option. For me, this option makes more sense than swivel/long-arm mounts, since this one will do a better job of holding the monitor exactly in place in place. Easy to setup as the post comes completely pre-assembled, simply attach the VESA star to the monitor, and then slide the monitor down onto the post.. Includes both the screws/washers for a flat-back monitor (which I have), and also screws/washers/spacers for a curved monitor (not-sted). Highly recommended A+++

Best Afordable Mount

Ordered this stand sunday and was happy with the results. Its strong, and was easy to setup. Though there was one issue of the stand not not clamping to my desk, so i had to use some wood scraps to clamp it in place but heck it worked and it is not going anywhere. 10/10 for quality and price. For those looking into getting this mount, ensure your desk or table has enough clearence for the the clamp. I had to unscrew the clamp of the mount so that it can fit around the desk then screwed it back together. And still did not have enough room so i had to use wood. Review my photo for an example.

Does not support large monitor weight

Specifications say it can handle up to 33lbs, but the monitor was only 26lbs and it failed. I got this for my 49" ultrawide monitor. The screw that locks in the tilt of the monitor was not strong enough to stop the screen from tilting down. It may work with a lighter/smaller monitor, but it does not with the ultrawides.

but it certainly feels like a tank

I must say upon opening the packaging, the mount is impressive for the cost. I expected much less metal and more plastic, but it certainly feels like a tank. Unfortunately, the description is misleading. It clearly states that it will work with \desks up to 2 inches thick\". I can decisively tell you that it DOES NOT work with 2\" think desks. Mine is just shy of 2\"
