been using it for a while now. they sent to me for free since my venu 3 was not accurate with step mileage when walking indoor on treadmill. this hrm worked for a little bit but is now giving the same issue as the watch. inaccurate. you cant calibrate it after walking. I walk outside with gps to try making the distance better but it is constantly off by .5-1 mile. product is defective but is better than the issues my watch had.
Finally an HRM that lasts. I’ve had a lot of trouble with cheaper HRMs (including garmin) that use coin cell batteries, they usually flake out and die on me after 3-6 months regardless of replacing the battery, I think they’re not as well sealed and can’t take the sweat.
The HRM 600 with rechargeable battery has held up perfectly for over a year so far.
I wear the Garmin HRM 600 every single day when I run, and it has quickly become one of my favorite pieces of running gear.
The heart rate tracking is extremely consistent, the connection to my Garmin watch is seamless, and I love having more accurate data during everything from easy recovery runs to harder efforts. When you run as often as I do, reliability matters, and this strap has delivered day after day.
It’s comfortable enough that I barely notice I’m wearing it, even on longer runs, and I’ve had no issues with it moving around or becoming distracting. The build quality feels excellent, and it has handled sweat, mileage, and daily use without missing a beat.
If you’re serious about running, training by heart rate, or simply want better workout data than wrist-based heart rate alone can provide, I absolutely recommend the Garmin HRM 600.
I wear mine every day, and I wouldn’t want to train without it.
I have been using this for over a month and it has done everything I needed. It replaces my old Garmin heart monitor. I like it because it picks up better and easier. Last one had to have moisture to connect this one so fsr doesn’t.
Rededicating myself to my health and longevity a couple of years ago, I ditched my Apple Watch ultra and bought a 51mm Tactix 8 amoled right when it was released. I spent about a year learning the Garmin ecosystem and trying to figure out why such an expensive watch was so glitchy when it finally occurred to me that my full sleeve tattoos were preventing the sensor in the watch from performing as it was designed to. The answer to my problem seemed simple enough, use a heart rate monitor to track my workouts. After doing some research I grabbed the HRM 600 right after it was released. My experience with the HRM 600 has been mostly positive but it could use some improvements. 1) During workouts, about every five minutes or so, the heart rate drops approx 10-15 bpm without my pace or heart rate actually changing. ChatGPT says it’s a Bluetooth connection issue. 🤷🏼♂️ I can’t speak to what the issue stems from, but when I first started using it, I would increase my effort, thinking my heart rate was actually dropping, then when the heart rate in my connect app rebounded, my actual heart rate was well above the zone I was trying to stay in, so I had to dial it back. More frustrating than anything but you get used to it, you simply learn to keep your pace, understanding that the HR will rebound in 15-20 seconds. 2) Its not ideal or even really functional for swimming, if you swim with any speed, especually pushing off the wall. When you accelerate, the drag of the water will flip the device over on your chest. To prevent it from flipping over, you have to tighten the strap so tight that it is far too uncomfortable and restrictive to wear.
