A worthwhile addition

These are a really great addition to the tripod. I use them frequently for table top work and when travelling and I need something simple and very light. Yes, you don't have the full height of the tripod, but it is still a useful, sturdt and effective unit when hiking long distances.
My only reservation, and the reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is that with these adaptors attached you cannot use the protective bag to hold the tripod as it no longer fits. A minor thing, but I prefer to keep my tripods protected in a bag where possible .
Would I recommend these? Yes, because I have found them so beneficial.

These are a great idea and accessory. Why waste your time buying another seller tripod when you can just put these gems on the one you already own. Perfect for making things compact and lightweight. And despite another review here....It 100% still fits in the included Travel Tripod bag when these are attached. In fact there is actually more room with these on. Great construction and quality as always.

Amazing way to make the tripod even lighter by using the conversion kit. Super easy to install and re-install. This is a must have for any back country or travel photographer

Nice, but...

I bought this kit recently and I like it, but you will end up losing the little plastic bushings that are on top of the legs. They fall off easily. Also, one of my tripod leg clips, the one that loosens the leg, cracked.
