This was extremely easy to install ourselves and very easy to set up automation. Very fun for my kids to have "dance parties" with a quick click of my phone screen and then back to normal when needed. Preset settings for the yellow/white lights are so nice to have as options.

This light is very bright on the white settings. But is disappointing when adding color. The brightness dims by 50% or more when adding colors to the center of the light or to the upper rim!
Also you can’t set the main light to a solid steady color and have lights or effects on the upper rim. The main light will not stay at a constant brightness or a single color when adding lights or effects to the upper rim lights.
It’s an ok light. But I won’t be buying anymore of them!
Over all a disappointing Govee product.
Buy the 15” ceiling light! It has more abilities and much better effects…

The main light when using white is very good and bright. I wish the colored leds were brighter but it works alright as a red night light when getting up for checking on our baby. Also, wish there was an option for a white halo light.

The photos show the backlight colors extending across the ceiling several inches to a few feet away from the fixture. In real life, they go about two inches. The photos show rooms brightly illuminated with both the main light in warm white and the backlight in color, but that's not a state the light is able to do - it's either "illumination" mode with a bright main WW light, or "color mode" with any combination of the main light and backlight in far dimmer colors that don't actually light up the room.
