Love this heavy duty black duct tape!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] One of the things I've always disliked about typical duct tape is the shiny silver color of it. It makes it seem cheap and always stands out on whatever I've used it for. This 3M Heavy Duty Colored Duct Tape is black and is perfect for the projects I've used it for around the house. It is also super strong, definitely earning the "heavy duty" title. The roll has a substantial amount of tape and we'll be able to use it for a lot more projects before needing to get a new one!

Reliable duct tape

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a free product to sample of this 3M Heavy Duty duct tape. This duct tape seems to be thinner than the version I am used to. You can actually see through it (see photo, you can see my fingers on the other side). It sticks well and I used it for a craft. Not sure how it would hold up on a big job.

Strong tape

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Strong and sturdy for a variety of tasks. I like that it comes in a variety of colors aside from just gray. It is a large roll so you are getting plenty of use for the price. I have used it for in home repairs. It holds up and works very well.

Versatile and strong

It sticks to many surfaces, which makes it very versatile. It can also be easily torn vertically or horizontally. I appreciate that it comes in different colors like white, black, red, and gray. Duty Tape for Indoor Projects

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With several projects around the house, I readily began using the 3M Heavy Duty Duct Tape. I first used it to replace several sections of older black duct tape that was used as part of the installation of an indoor central heating and air system. The previous duct tape had lost its adhesiveness causing the HVAC lines to no longer stay coupled together. I replaced several sections with the 3M Heavy Duty Duct Tape - multi-use duct tape. The tape torn easily both horizontally and vertically. It has been several days and - thus far - the adhesive has been holding the HVAC lines together (which include metal, plastic, and foam) - with the exception of one end that had become loose. This may have been user error, but I thought I was careful. While working in tight areas, the tape is flexible. I must note that the tape can fold in on itself and become stuck together. If it folds together, it tends to stay together and becomes unusable.
While this tape is for indoor purposes only, I used it on a vinyl outdoor smoker cover – which is under a covered area – that had become worn. The 3M Heavy Duty Duct Tape has thus far stayed adhered to the vinyl surface. While I would have preferred a less glossy surface on the duct tape, the glossy color is not a hindrance for my current projects.
After using, I have noticed that the product appears to be thinner and more stretchy than previous “duct tape” that I have used with a vinyl feeling, glossy outer surface. Compared to previous “duct tapes,” this duct tape appears to be more for indoor maintenance project and does not appear to be “heavy” duty – in my opinion. But again, the product is for indoor use only - which should be on the packaging for brick-and-mortar customers. However, it is mentioned in the online description.

Useful heavy duty duct tape, so very practical

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is heavy duty duct tape but it is multi-use which makes it so useful. It tears easily from the roll which makes it so practical. It can be used on many surfaces. Some listed are metal, glass, plastic, and laminates.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This white duck tape came in handy already. I had a light strip that kept falling down and it stuck with the tape and matched my desk. It’s very durable and no way it will fall off now. I used it outside for a wire that was black so now it matches the White house. It’s under an awning so it doesn’t get wet. I also used it to hold computer wires together so they don’t tangle. My grand daughter wants to make crafts with it as well.

Strong heavy duty industrial duct tape

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Stretches and molds to what your trying to tape and tears apart easily. A lighter duct tape that has a mesh consistency. Used on a door bottom to cut off half of an inch so the wood wouldn't splinter.
