Durable tape

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a free sample roll of the 3M Heavy Duty Colored Duct Tape - red - from 3M to try. The tape is a little hard to start to peel off the roll. It also seems a little thinner than regular duct tape. I would think that heavy duty would look and feel a little sturdier. I did a test piece to see how easily it can be removed. It comes off very easy and didn't leave any residue after a couple of days. I then used it to tape up a tear in our outdoor glider canvas cover. It seems to be holding up, but it will need more time in the elements to see the heavy duty tape holds strong. It seems to be holding up after a couple of weeks. The tape does tear easily, so scissors aren't needed if you don't have any. Seems to be a durable tape.

Heavy Duty Duck Tape!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 3M no doubt has the formula for duct tape down to a science....obviously. In fact, I didn’t think it was possible to make it any more impressive than it already is. I stand corrected. 3M has done it again with their new Heavy Duty Black Duct Tape! First and foremost, the strength & durability has been enhanced while still allowing you to tear with your hands for quick usage. In addition, the adhesive has been strengthened to stick quick and stay put where you place it. Thanks to this new & enhanced formula, this tape allows you to use it on numerous services for excellent results. Also, 3M formulated this duct tape to remain resistant to water on the backside to provide even more longevity! I also think it's important to note the black coloring of this new product. It allows for more options depending on what you're using it for. Regardless, the bottom line is that you have another option besides the standard gray duct tape. With all that being said, you've got a more effective, more durable duct tape that provides multipurpose performance with optimal quality & durability, all with a new look!

Dependable Tape for Many Jobs

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve used this tape for several projects where I’d normally use duct tape, and it’s performed great every time. The example in the photo shows it being used to tape seams for my laminate flooring underlayment. It adhered well to the material and didn’t over-stick to itself like some other brands tend to do.
If I had one small critique — which is also kind of a compliment — it’s that the tape tears very easily. On one hand, that’s a plus because it makes it simple to rip off a piece without struggling. On the other hand, the last quarter inch sometimes tears lengthwise instead of straight across, so I just have to be a bit more careful.
Overall, that’s a minor issue and definitely not a dealbreaker. I’d still buy this tape again without hesitation.

Strong and Useful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great Product, strong and useful all over the house, shop and car. I liked that this was strong, bit still easy to tear by hand. It is just the perfect thing to have in every toolbox and in the car. I was able to double up the tape ( sticky side to sticky side ) to make a very strong "rope" that was able to hang camp items up into the branches when camping when I forgot to bring rope.

Brite & Tight

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed a strong yet noticeable tape, and I found those qualities in this 3M Heavy Duty bright red duct tape! Attributes that caught my attention were the tape's thinness, brightness, and the fact that it's easy to tear off straight pieces as needed. I also noticed that the tape stays in place-- it didn't release its grip after several days in place. Yet, it was easy to remove when I was finished with it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given the 3M Heavy Duty Duct Tape for free, to try and out and submit an honest review. It's tough, no doubt about that. What I liked about it is that it tears vertically and horizontally which is so helpful instead of putting everything down and finding scissors to cut it with. The other thing I found to be very helpful is that you can use it on almost everything, glass, plastic, laminate, and even cardboard!

Great Heavy Duty Tape

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 3M Heavy Duty Tape in Red is good tape to have for taping up boxes. It is strong tape. I used it for my Christmas boxes since the tape is Red. I use it for holding things in place. Even if the tape is too strong for the smaller boxes I used it anyway. It’s like using extra security. It cuts easily. No issues with this tape. This is great to have in the house on hand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always used heavy duty tape for stuff but it's great to have options. Now I can color code boxes just by closing them or not worry about people seeing it when I use it to decorate because it's now coordinating. This red duck tape came in handy. It's very durable and no way it will fall off now. I used it outside for a wire that was sticking out, It's under an awning so it doesn't get wet. I also used it to hold computer wires together so they don't tangle. I also use the red duct to make crafts with it as well.
