Difficult to peel from roll, ink smears

I finally gave in to temptation and bought 2 rolls of washi tape yesterday. This morning I was eager to use it for something, but after 15 minutes of trying to peel a full width piece from the roll I lost interest. The tape stuck to itself and tore at an angle so that I shredded my fingernails trying to conquer it. When I finally succeeded in removing a 1 inch long piece from the roll I was disappointed to find that it was not great to write on. Pencil barely showed up. Gel ink smeared and ball point ink skipped on the slippery surface. The only thing that wrote easily on the tape was a fine point Sharpie, but a fine point Sharpie can write on just about anything.
The only good thing is that I won't be tempted to buy another roll just because it comes in fun colors.

Just horrible

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Can't unroll this stuff. All it does is tareally in to little pieces can't even get it started, had 3 different people try. Will need buy again.

won't peel

I'm an avid washi tape user (I journal with it). I bought one little roll today and I was so upset when I opened it and it was so hard to peel. I kept getting tiny shreds and could NOT get a a full clean peel for use on anything. What I did peel up left behind sticky residue. I really expected more from this brand; I'm going to stick with my "go-to" after this.

Can't unroll...

I bought a roll of purple washi tape today to use for labeling books with my name, but I think I got a dud roll. Very disappointed. Unrolled about two feet of shreds before giving up. I'm not sure if the adhesive was too strong or the tape was too fragile or what. Definitely not what I'm used to quality-wise from Scotch/3M. Too bad..I was looking forward to finally doing that project!

Was not even sticky

I got the gold Washi tape for a project for my grandson and it would not stick. I had to use glue to try to get it to stick to the foam core board! Very disappointed. Didn't have time or money to go get something else.

It's cool but not the best.

I bought the black glitter tape to add some flare to my keyboard at work. The adhesive on this tape is not that great so it is hard to get it to stick on any surface. I ended up putting double sided tape down on the keyboard before putting the tape on it and that seemed to work. I hope it doesn't start peeling any time soon.

SURPRISINGLY DISAPPOINTED

I bought the white glitter along with multiple other tapes. While the others work great, this one is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!! Complete waste of money, especially given that I bought two of them! Totally gutted since this was purchased not only for a gift for my nieces first birthday but also for a ‘DIY’ decoration for the party. Please please PLEASEEE pull all the glitter ones from shelves until the adhesive can match it’s “sister products”
