Best thermostat out there

From the box to the actual product this is by far the best thermostat out there. The look and feel is phenomenal and the ease of Setting up the thermostat is fantastic. Took me 10 minutes from taking it out of the box to complete set up. There was no questions or concerns of how to complete the task. Excellent experience great job with design of product and software.

Installation was very easy with instructions that were easy to follow with smart assist.
The mounting kit looks very neat and clean.
Very easy to control with app and smart devices. I would highly recommend.

I have three of these, one in my Spokane House and two in my Nevada house. the two that are hooked to the HV/AC are great! and I love the options and the abilities to change the temp from wherever I am in the world (with WIFI). my frustration is the one I have hooked to my pellet stove does not work correctly I have been messing with it and have tried everything I can find online. I am replacing the the wiring base to see if it is a problem there, but we will see. it should be a simple open or closed setting when it reached temp but it closes right when I hook up the two wires to the base.

Out with the old!

Efficient use of today's electronics is what keeps technology growing and learning correctly. This Nest thermostat has kept me sane in a sea of maintenance and troubleshooting. Easy to set up and only had to wire it up once before figuring out I mixed two wires up. Luckily it was as easy as changing one single setting on the unit itself! Love the monthly reports of use as well!! Awesome product.

I Love my new Nest 3rd gen Thermostat!! The unit is so advanced while easy to use! The app for your phone is also easy to use but allows the control of so many different parameters of the heating/air conditioning system!. Amazing system that is attractive and functional!!
My neighbors are asking how to acquire one!
I do recommend installation by a professional if you have a heat pump!

Not worth the money

Honestly you so not have as much control over this as you should. Often times I have the cold set to 68 but the temp is at 69 and cooling is not running. Have to turn it to 67 then back to 68 to get it to cool off to set temp. The scheduling scrolling calendar is frustrating. The learning just does what it wants. I would say this is money well wasted. Don't recommend, buy something cheaper - it works better.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It’s normal for your home’s temperature to vary slightly above or below the temperature set on your thermostat for a short while. This is often due to the built-in delay for turning on your system. This delay is commonly called the maintenance band, deadband, differential, or temperature swing. The delay is usually just a few minutes, but it’s there to help you and your system. It also helps save you energy.
