We got a new central heat and air conditioning system and the old thermostat wasn't compatible. Went to the store and this product had everything we needed and extra. It has kept the temperature exactly where we want it. This is a great purchase.

Easy Installation Works Nicely After GREAT Support

I installed the thermostat following the directions - including taking a picture of the wiring on my old thermostat. Installation was EASY! However after installing, I had to make contact with NEST support twice. Both times my issue was caused by non-standard wiring of my 13 year old thermostat. Support was GREAT! Can't emphasize enough importance of taking a picture of old thermostat wiring!

Was intrigued with the Nest Learning Thermostat reviews since on the one hand it appeared pretty straight forward, but on the other it appeared there were some comments regarding compatibility. Took a chance and purchased this item and am so glad I did. Between the available instructions and online support to confirm wiring, was able to install in 10-15 minutes and has been working flawlessly !

Love my Nest. But bought the Pro version at an HVAC supply store. This version did NOT have the necessary junction box base plate, so I needed to buy it separately. Then the instructions did NOT cover a heat-pump “reverse” valve wiring situation, which took multiple frantic telephone calls to resolve. But truly, once the dust settled, I love my Nest. Works perfectly, looks great and saves energy.

Was so easy to install

I got the thermostat for Christmas and was hesitating on installing. Thought it would be too long and tedious. Boy was I wrong! It took about 15 minutes and my 11 year old son installed it all by himself! He was bored, since we are under quarantine he though he would do it! Love just how easy it was to program, he did this too! And it looks nice on the wall.

I love that you can set it and forget it. That's why you buy anything labeled "smart". However this not only is smart, it is also "learning" so that's just amazing. So much is packed in this high quality thermostat. The fact that it pretty much pays for its self in savings from heating and cooling is quite a perk. The ability to change the temperature settings from a smart phone is AWESOME

Love This Product

I had the regular thermostat that you could program. I bought this so I would have more control over my air. This is a wonderful product. Worth every penny. I can turn my air off and on from anywhere. I can program settings and if something needs to change I can do it from my phone.
