The problem is with the battery. The thermostat loses connection to WiFi due to low battery. Quite often!!!!!

I did a research for many hours to find the perfect thermostat for my home. I have a two story house where my upstairs is always warmers than my downstairs so the learning thermostat along with a temperature sensor keep my house at the right temperatures

Nest Learning Thermostat

As a non-technical person, a learning piece of hardware is a welcome product. Still need to work with it to maximize the benefits it offers. The real test results will show up in the utility bill amounts. I'm convinced the new Nest will & must offer lower heating & cooling bills over an older, hard-to-program thermostat.

Simple design and control of your home comfort through HVAC. The humidity control is my favorite feature and having ability to set a comfort range is also nice

This device is so easy to set up and use and is just completely Superior to any traditional programmable thermostat. The learning features such as "true radiant" are also pretty cool. I really enjoy looking at the "energy dashboard" to see how long my heat stays on for.
I would recommend this to a friend!
