Awesome Product! Similar to Apple IOnfrastructure

Love my nest products (3rd Gen Thermostats, Nest E Thermostat, Protect and Cams). They all work together and keeps me informed what is happening at my home 24-7.

Great product, very easy to install (plenty of YouTube videos to help). Hoping energy savings will cover the cost as my old t-stat was still working. Really like the fact that you can create a run schedule from the app on your phone instead of standing in front of a programmable stat and programming with tiny buttons.

Short of the hype

Because of the mA draw I have had to disable most of the features that make the nest unique. Very poor integration with my Bryant furnace. Not worth the money or frustration with the current power demand.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi MehinElburn, we're sorry to hear that you're not able to maximize all of the features of the Nest Learning Thermostat. This is not the experience we want you to have. In most cases, Google Nest Thermostats can charge their built-in battery using the your heating and cooling wires. But if it is drawing more power than your system can provide, then you may need to connect a common or C wire to consistently deliver power to the Thermostat.
It will help deliver constant power and stabilizing the flow of current into the Thermostat. Unlike the other wires connected to it, a common wire doesn't control any heating or cooling functions. So you can enjoy the features of the Nest Learning Thermostat without drawing power from your system.

Best smart thermostat on the market

This is my second Nest thermostat. I upgraded to the third generation from the first generation which I had for almost 4 years. I had gotten the first one for free from my Emery provider when I signed up. I wanted to be able to use the temp sensor so I upgraded. I also love all the finishes you can get the control ring in. I have a copper one and it is just gorgeous!!!

This thermostat does everything it says it does and really is the most user friendly device. We tried another product/brand and came back to NEST
We have been Nest users for 6 plus years and love it, super easy to use and we are saving money!
