Great Product.

Great thermostat. Very simple installation. Instruction are clear and easy to follow. Set up was very easy and pairing with alexa was simple also. Love that I can access my thermostat from anywhere. Monthly reports come in handy to monitor power usage. Highly recommended thermostat.

assistant integration lacking, current temp

There is no Siri integration. There are only really two key pieces of information that one needs to see on a thermostat. The setpoint and the current temperature. It's not easy to see what the current temperature is as it's represented by a dot near the setpoint. Say it's a little chilly. How do I decide what should I change the setpoint to? The time display is nice. Why not have the setpoint and current temp on that mode as well? It could be small. Also as a heat only system with no c wire how am I going to keep this device charged over the summer? It could be great with a better UI on the device and on the phone app.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

You can change the Farsight settings of your thermostat to show the current temperature when it automatically wakes up after it senses activity within 20 feet. Here’s how:
- Press the thermostat ring to open the Quick View screen.
- Turn the ring to Settings and press to select.
- Select Display and then Farsight
- Now you can choose what Farsight will show you, select the current temperature.

The Nest was easy to install and set, love the look of it, and that it is a learning thermostat, and that it displays the temperature when you walk by.

I installed my nest in a 2nd home that I also Airbnb. It appears to work well in that application for me. These reviews are always soon after purchase or instalation so time will tell but great so far.

installed Nest thermostat about 2 months. I like the ability to monitor and adjust my HVAC from anywhere and ECO mode to reduce energy usage. Need more time to see what impact on energy use will be. This product is easy to use if you are somewhat tech savvy. It is easy installation if you have a minimum of mechanical ability. If not find someone that does to avoid frustration.
