Set up and install.

The nest thermostat has to be the easiest thermostat I have put in so far. The instructions were easy to ready and straight to the point. The programming of the nest took no time at all and asked all the right questions to make sure you set it up correctly. As I have just installed the nest I can not comment on the energy savings but I'm sure it will perform as advertised. Cool looking easy to use

The unit continues to think I am away when we are home and allows temp to change to eco mode. Also geofencing does not work or else it would know I am home.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there, thanks for posting your feedback to let us know of your experience with the Nest Learning Thermostat. It’s unfortunate to learn of your issue with the Home/Away Assist feature, which makes your thermostat go to ECO mode.
There are two ways Home/Away Assist determines whether to automatically switch to Home or Away: where your phones are, and whether Nest products are currently noticing any activity in your home. If your phone won’t recognize your location whether you’re away or home, checking your location from the Nest App may help. Make sure that your location from the Nest App settings matches your location using another map app.
- In the Nest app, go to Settings > Home info > next to “Address,” verify that the information is correct. If you need to change the address, tap Address.
- If there are other people who share access to your home and control devices, they should also check that their phone’s location is correct in the app.

Easy to use thermostat

The Nest learning thermostat is an easy to use product that makes life much simpler than having to program a product. Looks good on the wall and very easy to install. Have recommended to several family members and friends and will continue to do so.
