Great if simplicity is what you need

Other thermostats is the price range may offer more features if that’s what you are looking for, but this one is a beautiful decorative piece as well. Does the job and saves you money through the learning feature. Great for households with none technophiles or ones who really want to take advantage of the google ecosystem.

Love our thermostat, very convenient. Able to adjust, turn on/off from the nest app on my phone remotely. Will definitely recommend the Nest thermostat anyone!

Two thermostats in a large home. Result is GREAT!

I purchased 2 Nest thermostats through a promotion my internet service provider was offering. I have a large (6000sqft) home with 2 AC/Gas Furnace systems, which also include humidifiers. Setup and DIY installation was a breeze, although I have extensive DIY experience.
The features of the thermostat make it easy to keep the house fairly comfortable and still save some energy (and money!)

Nest at Florida Condo

We wanted to be able to monitor and control the HVAC at our Florida condo anytime anywhere. The NEST is working our perfectly. I just installed it a week ago but I am sure it will save us money. It is so easy to use.

Exceeded my Expectations

I am a technology geek and I am a very early adopter if connected smart devices at home, but I was late to buy a Nest thermostat first because where I used to live had an old HVAC, and second because I wasn’t totally sure about the performance of the two first generations.
With my current third generation thermostat, I cannot emphasize how satisfied I am. First, it look gorgeous, although I had to by a circular metallic plate to compliment the satin stainless steel finish. Also, installing it was a breath. After I used the web tool to determine the wiring configuration for my particular HVAC unit, I printed out the diagram, and it literally took me less than 10 minutes to have it up and running. But, most importantly is the performance. Using the unit directly is very intuitive and the turning wheel is so nice to the touch. The app basically reflects the screen on the unit, and I never had a single crash since I started using it. The sensors that feels you approaching the thermostat and wakes the display up are very impressive. The direct sunlight that takes into consideration that the sunlight is directly hitting the thermostat so the temperature reading will be inaccurate is something that didn’t even cross my mind. Finally, the several sensors and algorithms that predicts and learn whether you are at home or not in order to reduce energy consumption are very accurate.
One thing that I thought it was missing, and Nest has just solved it is that the temperature measurement relies solely on the room where the thermostat is located. That could be challenging when different rooms get different amount of sun or other factors that impact the temperature. Nest has just announced a wireless temperature sensor that you can place in one or several rooms that will communicate with your thermostat for better performance. I pre-ordered it and I am quite confident it will solve this minor problem.

This was the second Nest thermostat I have purchased. The first was at my home that I sold. The new house had an old thermostat so replacing it with a Nest was one of my first projects. Super easy to install and the tools are in the box. The rebates from the utility companies make these more affordable than those programmable one at the stores. Worth every dime!

The Nest Learning Thermostat looks good, is easy to install and best of all works well. Not absolutely perfect but what is?.. installation is easy and the manual covers everything you need to know so even for thosenot so handy DIY people it’s relatively easy to install and program.
As I mentioned it’s not quite perfect and the programming does NOT included an easy option HOLD temp ‘button’
