Steady temperatures!

My husband and I replaced our furnace and heat pump system and installed a NEST Learning Thermostat into our home which was built in the late 50s. Excellent temperature control! Easy app to install and use! Would recommend this thermostat to everyone! Looking to install Nest Fire detectors next! We are sold..

For the most part it was very easy to install and it is easy to use. I like the fact I can monitor the temperature when I’m away or turn it on/off when not at home.

Great Product When You know What You are Doing

The SLT is well built and the software is well written, running on a powerful processor. Installing the thermostat is easy and straightforward except for the iPhone app which often does not succeed reading the QR-code and connecting to my mesh WiFi. I have 4 and that consistently was a problem. However, I worked around it attaching it manually and then take it from there. The thermostat has a hold-over battery built in that leaches power during heat/cold calls from the system. I had an older zone controller that created false calls due to the charing mechanism. It charged poorly which causes the thermostat to drop off WiFi due to low power. Running GND wires to all thermostats and upgrading to a modern zone controller solved it. I use an EcoJay SmartZone-4X. I read online that these practical issue even turn off professional HVAC installer due to a lack of understanding. Teach Google! One Thermostat's Wifi radio malfunctioned and Google replaced it quickly (3-days).

We replaced the thermostat in the new home we just bought; it was old and had both a thermostat and a humidity controller. Nest has both. Takes up less space on the wall and looks stylish. We love the fact that it can learn when we are home or not. Amazing product. Would recommend 100%
