I am very impressed at how easy the installation is. Very simple. I was up and running in under 20 minutes. And it looks very neat on the wall.

A quick install with all the right tools. A screw driver, wall plate, screws, and the t-stat itself. 10 mins later and I’m up and running. It has a great design and knows when I enter a specific room. The look and feel of twisting/pushing the bezel is beyond all expectations.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Misleading product compatibility

Wouldn’t actually run my furnace. Had to have heater company check it out and let me know the c wire doesn’t actually provide enough power for it to run the furnace effectively. They said I’d have to pull it off the wall and charge it every few days with a usb charger… who would actually do that with a home thermostat??? Returned and bought a different company’s thermostat.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nest Learning Thermostat works with most 24V heating and cooling systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, boilers, and heat pumps with either forced air or radiant delivery. If the thermostat still has an issue after installing a C-wire, there might be a problem with the compatibility.

THE BEST NEST

The Nest Thermostat was super easy to install. My AC is a 4 wire system and it was compatible. It's one of the best investments I made for my home yet. Super easy to use and it looks cool.

Save money and add bling to your house

In California, our utilities offered rebates for the Nest and other learning thermostats. After ready several online opinions of Nest versus the others, for our needs the Nest seemed to offer the best solution. Of the others, Nest was the only one that specifically said it would learn your preferences and setup automated schedules. So far, the Nest has been a great complement to our home.

It has the potential to be amazing. Just take the steps to be ahead of the competition instead playing catch up. I love my nest thermostat and all it does. Individual room sensors almost made me jump ship. Luckily I decided to wait.
