Best Thermostat Ever

This is a great thermostat. It is easy to use from the unit itself or from the app on your phone, and even telling a echo device to adjust the temperature.
I like that you can look at the history on the app and see how long it ran the previous day.
You can also create a schedule for different temperature at different times.

Set it and forget it

I had 20+ years old thermostat. I was worried about any "new technology" being able to replace it without re-wiring or upgrades to rest of the system. I read the installation guide once, followed the directions, and done and working in 15 minutes. It took a 2 to 3 weeks for the thermostat to learn our habits. After that, we hardly touch the thermostat; it does its own thing.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Easy install and usage

The install of this product took me about 5 minutes and that included hooking it up to my home WiFi. It is by far the easiest thing I have installed in my home. I love the auto scheduling too. I recommend this product for sure. Nest has created a home run here!

Installing Nest 3rd generation

Installing the Nest 3rd generation learning thermostat isn't a slam dunk as stated. Original wires may be too short or not compatible with the nest. Inserting wires properly may become very problematic requiring numerous attempts. I consulted "the community" under "support" which was very helpful. A Customer Service agent, named Jonathan was extremely helpful. His excellent guidance helped me to eventually install the nest properly and connect with my heating and AC unit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So this is my first technical smart upgrade from a regular thermostat and honestly it's really awesome. I know most of everyone will be like I got this fancy upgrade last week. But let me tell you it's a better one then the one we previously had we this dinosaur looking thermostat and we honestly weren't sure it was even compatible so thank goodness for instructions. Ladies this is simple enough for you to do as well without your men. Google app gives you step by step walk through instructions on if its compatible and how to set up from there.

Google Nest thermostat is an amazing product so far. First, packaging is well thought out (and gorgeous) and not totally loaded with plastic. You can see the Apple influence from Tony. Installation was super simple. Comes with all the tools and hardware necessary for installation. Instructions are easily found online. Set up is very easy. Works great!
