I have wanted to buy one of these since the very first gen came out, but as with all "new" things, I like to wait a couple gens to see the bugs get worked out. So I finally bit the bullet and boy am I impressed. This thing was so easy to install, I could have had my 6yr old do it or dare I say, my 76yr old father (He's still trying to set the clock on his VCR.) An amazing product!

I received my Nest from my wife as a St. Nick gift. I was super excited and couldn't wait to hook this baby up. I opened up the box and I immediately felt like I was 8 years old again opening gifts under the Christmas tree. I was a bit nervous at first (I'm not electrical savvy) to hook up myself but thanks to the Nest app it was setup in under 30 minutes Thanks Nest!! Absolutely love it!!!

help at home even when i'm away

I love my nest thermostat! I love that it knows what temperature I like the house at when I sleep and when i'm away. I also love that it knows on Saturdays I like to sleep in so it keeps the house cooler longer!
and when i'm away from home I can adjust the temperature on days when it's hotter than usual and i'm worried about my pets.

Nest is the best!

I was able to install the Nest all by myself in under 10 minutes. I did not use the wall plate, so that made it even easier. The longest part was turning off the power and removing my old thermostat. There were easy to follow directions and even a screwdriver! The Nest itself had a level on it, so there was no need for any other tools. I love the look of it and it takes up very little wall space.

The future has arrived.

The nest thermostat is polarizing. It has ushered in a thermostat revolution to a segment no one thought needed revolutionizing. I love my nest thermostat. I have been living with a Nest thermostat for about 2 months now. I do really like that I can take a quick glance at my smartphone to check the temperature and adjust if needed. This is also quite helpful if you leave town and forget to adjust your thermostat accordingly. You can change and monitor your home temperature anywhere with a smartphone. It has adjusted to our patterns and rarely needs adjustment. You can just set your temperature preference and forget about it if you want to.
I however, am way too interested in information to not mess with it. I enjoy the monthly email reports Nest sends. It is nice to track your energy usage over the course of a year. I also really enjoy the weather forecast on the display. I have set up my nest display to show the weather. When I pass by I get a snap shot of the next day's forcast. I find myself looking forward to this useful info every evening.
The integration with smart speakers is great too. If you are feeling cold/hot, you can just ask your speaker of choice to remedy that. These devices working together really feels like the sci-fi future we were promised is beginning to take shape.
