Eco not freindly

I dont like that when it goes into eco mode, it has a possiblity of never comming on if there is no activity. Come home to find garage heater has not been on because Nest went into eco mode

Thanks for sharing your experience with us. Sorry you experienced some inconvenience with the Eco Mode feature of Nest Learning Thermostat.
Allowing the Home/Away Assist feature to use your phone's location can help improve the accuracy of the feature. Here's how you can enable this:
1. Tap Settings in the top right corner of the app home screen.
2. Select Home/Away Assist.
3. Select What decides if you’re home.
4. Select Use phone location.
Or you can turn off this feature so the thermostat won't switch to Eco temperatures when nobody's home but you can still switch it to Home/Away manually from the Nest app. Here's how:
1. Select your thermostat in the Nest app.
2.Select Settings at the top right.
3. Choose Home/Away Assist on the top of the list and tap the blue toggle to turn it off.
After performing the steps above, you no longer have to worry about the thermostat automatically switching to Eco temperatures in the middle of the night if the motion sensor doesn't detect anyone.

There is a learning curve (as with any new product) but once we got the first one up and running the rest were very easy. Love the fact I can control the thermostats from 500 miles away!

The Nest Learning Thermostat is perfect. I can control my thermostat from anywhere using either the Nest App or Google Home Assistant. My home is always comfortable, and with my monthly Nest Home Report, I know my energy usage.
I would recommend this to a friend!

New nest stat

Works as intended. Very very easy to use. Love it. Knows when you leave your house (has long as you have your phone with you) and knows when your back home so it should save energy in the long run.
