No clear instructions to download. Device resets itself even when not enabled to do so.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The Nest seems to be very well constructed. Was a little difficult to install because the wires that needed to be connected were not long enough.
Was fairly easy to connect it to the wi-fi, once I got the hang of it. Was easy to sync with Google. Looks very professional-looking, compared to our old thermostat. It's very convenient to be able to set the temperature just by directing Google.

THE NEST LEARNING THERMOSTAT IS THE STANDARD THAT ALL OTHER SMART THERMOSTATS ARE COMPARED TO. LIKE THE TITLE SUGGEST IT'S VISUALLY STUNNING AND TRULY AMAZING HOW SO MUCH INFORMATION CAN BE TRANSMITTED FROM THE OVAL DISPLAY. IT LEARNS YOUR HEATING AND COOLING HABITS AND ADJUST ON THE FLY. IT EVEN RECOGNIZES WHEN YOU ARE NOT HOME SAVING YOU MONEY IN THE LONG RUN.

Yes, a nest thermostat is expensive up front, but in the long run it’s worth every penny and maybe more. The amount of money you save and easy functionality make this product excellent!

Wonderful Product!

Eversince we have installed Nest Thermostat in our home, we have experienced the best thus far when it comes to convenience in managing temperatures in the house. Its simple yet glorious device design is easy to use. The app is amazing because you can easily change the temp by turning up the heat without having to actually turn the dial of the device. I am so thankful for Nest Thermostat.

Installed yesterday. So far so good. Wiring was all set from old thermostat. I checked with Nest and they sent me a pic. Ease of installation. Cover plate is nice to hide old thermostat screw holes. App and setting schedule was easy. Have to get use to temp displayed on thermostat and my room temp monitor. There is about a 2 degree difference but I am fine tuning comfort temps.

I recently purchased the Nest for my home and I have to admit I love the ease of operating the device from my phone! It is great! The bonus feature I am completely impressed with the away from home assistance. This allows you the Nest to detect that no one is home and adjust my thermostat accordingly. So worth the money!!!

Modern thermostat

Going from an old school thermostat to a smart thermostat changed my life. Being able to control the heat from my phone is a convenience I never knew I needed. It's easy to use and works perfectly.
