First Impressions

I've only had it installed for a little over a week now, but I'm impressed. The display is simple, really simple and tells me all I need to know from my thermostat...the temperature! I haven't programmed it yet because I'm still trying to get a feel for where we want the temperatures to be, but I've checked out the programming through the app, which is really easy to do.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Just got a new HVAC system and paired with Nest thermostat. I couldn't be more satisfied. Its rare to get a product that exceeds an expectation. This product is amazing!

Got Nest thermostat to upgrade from programmable one that was from 2000. We are 63yo, installed it ourselves, used the learning mode & wow it was so easy. To make a quick adjustment you simply turn the dial like the old thermostats we grew up with. It is very intuitive to use and program. Magnitudes better than the rectangular program thermostats- you know the ones. Make your life easy again!!!

Wouldn’t buy again

This thing is an utter disaster to setup . Doesn’t keep charges at all, cannot use external c wire adapters, have to hard wire a c wire in (many do not have) , no jumpers Ugly, ugly setup of hat barely holds a days charge
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Though Nest thermostats would generally work without a common(C) wire, power drain issues usually occur when your system wires can't deliver enough power to keep the thermostats powered up. This will also cause your battery to drain. Installing a common (C) wire helps provide a stable power to your system. We recommend contacting a Nest Pro technician, since they may be able to provide you with other options, like installing a common (C) wire adapter, if you're having limitations with the standard common (C) wire installation. 3rd Nest thermostat

This is a great product built on a good product. I have three zones in my house and now have a nest on every zone. Two of my zones have a older generation nests on the, which work great and we just put the newest Nest on the primary zone which controls heat and A/C for the main living area of the home. I love the ability to adjust the heat or A/C from almost anywhere. I would recommend these.
