Very Pleased!

I am very pleased with my new thermostat. It is located at a vacation home and it is so easy to adjust the temperature (if I am there or not). I am a female and was a bit nervous about installing it, but the support chat helped me get it done very easily. I would highly recommend it for your home.

Beautiful and easy to install

We were given the Nest as a Christmas gift just as our old thermostat was ready to be retired. My son in law said that the instructions for connecting it were very easy and no more than maybe 30 min. Well he was so right! We watched the video then followed the instructions and followed them step by step. Which were plain, simple and easy to follow . It is attractive on the wall and so far is very easy and really seems to keep our home at a constant comfortable temperature.

Convenient home tool.

The thermostat I chose looks great in my living room, and I liked that there were different styles to choose from. Living in the Midwest, where we have four seasons, sometimes all in one week, it’s nice to be able to control the thermostat from my phone or tablet. With family all over the country, this is a huge convenience. I installed my new Nest right before winter, and set it to the same temp it was always at on the prior thermostat. I quickly noticed my house seemed a little warmer then normal, but when I checked gas usage and my bill, there was no change in my bill, and the usage seemed reasonable for the below zero temperatures we were having. It’s only been a few months that I’ve had it, so we’ll see if this trend continues.

Snuggled up with my Nest

Winter comfort at its finest! Just installed my Nest and loving it! I had some furnace issues recently and had them fixed but worried while at work if all was ok at home.... Now I don’t have to guess I have my Nest app that allows me to be worry free. The ease of install and the website were very helpful when getting to know my new thermostat. Very excited to get my first monthly report on the use of my heating.

Functionality & appearance

We are pleased with the overall functionality of our Nest Learning thermostat. It is located in our dining room which has a lot of traffic and activity that results in the Nest display turning on/off frequently which, at times, is distracting and mildly annoying. Being able to adjust the sensitivity of the thermostat would allow us to reduce the frequency at which the display turns on. The Nest feature we like most is the ability to control the house temperature from outside the home.

I love my nest. I got it when I added central AC into my home and it works wonders. I love the fact that you can download the app on your phone and adjust the temperature wherever you are. I have also bought the inside Nest camera and I love that as well. I get alerts on my phone when the camera notices activity. The nest is great because it get use to the time of when you turn it down and up and then it will automatically change over time. Example when we first got this I would lower the heat to 66 at night and around 630 when I got up, I would turn the temp up to 69. Well now around 10pm it automatically goes down to 66 and around 630am it goes up to 69 without me having to change it.

Our Nest alerted us to a water leak!

We had only had the Nest Learning Thermostat for 3 weeks when after being gone for a week we noticed the humidity in the house went from 14% to 26% then to 34% and finally to 54% within an hour. Although we were 4 states away and it was New Years Day, I was able to call a friend to go turn the water to the house off. It turns out, we had a leak in our upstairs bathroom and had water all the way down into our basement. Without the Nest Learning Thermostat I would not have know about the issue and water would have been pouring into my house for an additional 6 hours while we made the journey home. The Nest Learning Thermostat helped us reduce the amount of damage done to our house and I am so thankful that I purchased it! I highly recommend the Nest Learning Thermostat!
