A Small Price to pay...

There is no buyers remorse here! I have yet to see the "savings" that I will get by having the Nest Thermostat, but even the idea of a smart connected thermostat has already paid for itself.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I did not necessarily need a new thermostat, but I really enjoy the remote app control for this thermostat. That coupled with possible utility bills savings were enough for me to purchase it.

Easy to install. Easy to setup. Troubleshooting instructions were inadequate. I immediately recieved e74 no power to the hot wire Rh. (The red one). Tried the troubleshooting sections and as usual they were inadequate. I went through the entire circuit and realized that I didnt put the vent cover back on right. NMF it didnt fit correctly. Waste 1.5hrs trying to fig it all out. Anyways....

Loved the Google Nest. I am a former manufacturing engineer and was totally impressed by ease of installation, designed, construction, web help, app, and the self guided installation procedures. They covered every base with this design. Hads it going in 20 minutes.

I have a two story home with the thermostat downstairs, and I love to be able to control it from my phone through the app. The auto learn feature is great since you won’t have to keep adjusting the temperature each time come home. With the alert mode you don’t have to keep track of when to replace the filter because you’ll be notified.

I never gave my thermostat any thought, except annoyance at dealing w/ tiny buttons when I wanted to make a temp change. Now, I interact with nest throughout the day to check & adjust the temperature & check on conditions at home w/ my pug. There's no need to check it because it self-adjusts when I leave home & it's learned that I like it cold when I get home - but it's fun! It's saved $$$, too!
