I honestly have no complaints about the Nest. It's sleek in appearance and works great. I love being able to see how many hours of heating or cooling I have used.

Nest replaced an older model Lyric thermostat, and not to compare apples to oranges, as I don't know much about the newer Honeywell products, I can truly say I am very pleased with my Nest and am glad my Heating professional included it with my new furnace installation. The nest is easy to operate and I am sure if I ever need a new thermostat I would buy a Nest.

Learning thermostat

The app that goes with it doesn’t work very well with it being winter and having a two level house when we are downstairs and not walking past the nest it was shutting our heat off turned on feature to connect it to my phone connected it via Bluetooth and it still didn’t recognize we were in the house have had to turn off the learning feature for now as it’s going to be below zero in the evenings and I don’t want it getting to 64 degrees in my bedroom
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

If you just activated your phone to participate in Home/Away Assists, there will still be a learning period since it will be using the device sensor data for presence sensing. This is similar to how your thermostats learn the temperature preferences over time and adjust. Home/Away Assist should have a good idea of your patterns after about a week or so if they have a consistent routine. Sudden changes to your usual routine may cause unexpected Home/Away Assist behaviors because the patterns Home/Away Assist had previously learned have changed. It will continue to learn your new routines, but it won’t adapt immediately.

Best little thermostat ever!!

The nest was so easy to install. The online videos and app helped so much. This unit looks so nice on the wall. It lights up when you walk near it and shows the temperature in large numbers. It was easy to connect it to my Amazon Alexa unit and I like that I can also check it on my iphone when I am away. It is too warm yet to turn it on for the heat so I haven't used the away features. Love it!

Purchased the nest thermostat for my new home. Being able to control the thermostat while away is very convenient. My upstairs bedrooms would always be too hot or too cold in the winter. I purchased the temperature sensor add on to help monitor and adjust the temperatures for upstairs. Now it’s very easy to adjust the bedrooms to the perfect temperature. Great products!

It was an easy install. Still figuring out the nest app on our phone but overall we like it. It regulates the temperature. I love how it automatically changes to a recalled temp. Eco setting is nice. Love how it lights up when you walk by. Sleek and stylish appearance. I highly recommend this item.
