Thanks for letting us know of the battery drain issue with your Nest Learning Thermostat. We’re sorry that your experience with our support team didn’t go well. This is certainly not the kind of experience we'd want you to have.

We recommend to completely disconnect your Nest thermostat from the Wi-Fi network and try to use it manually for the next 24 hours. If the Nest thermostat works fine without experiencing a battery drain while it is disconnected, then the battery drain is most likely caused by your Wi-Fi network. If the issue continues to occur, then your HVAC system wires are probably not delivering enough power, and both your Nest Learning Thermostat may need a common (C) wire to get sufficient power to stay charged up.

Nest Learning Thermostat does come with a 2-year limited manufacturer warranty from the original purchase date.
