Nest Thermostat is awesome!

We purchased 2 Nest Thermostats for our home since we have 2 HVAC units. We did the installation ourselves and it was easy to do. We have since purchased the Nest Yale door lock system and love it. If you ever need their customer support, you will not be disappointed. We have used Chat twice and it's impressive how well it works. They will work with you until your issue is resolved.

It’s awesome product, it seems like it will pay off the cost within 6 month. The only improvement which I can recommend is different mounting option for older houses with big openings in the wall.

More than Savings

I had the Nest for a few months before I got the "courage" to install it. I have to say that the installation process was seamless. It led you right thru the entire setup. The savings on our bill have been great. It allows us to see how we can better heat and cool our home.

Connect to WiFi was incredibly difficult. I reset my modem/router, checked that my MAC filtering was turned off, charged the unit via USB, but nothing was working. Finally, I had to reset the network settings in the thermostat for it to connect. Also, after putting in the password 10+ times, I can safely say the method for putting the password into the unit is a pain.

Nest "learning thermostat" Looks great but... I found it a bit difficult to set up cell phone control. Once it was set up by HVAC professional the system worked great. I still can't get my wife the ability to control with her cell phone. Any help from whom ever would be appreciated. The other issue I have is it seems to take the AC unit longer to reach the desired internal temp. since installing.

Love using the Nest! It is easy to program at the thermostat or using the app. I know that it is going to lower our monthly utility bills. It looks nice on our wall (we replaced a 27-year-old thermostat) - this one is handsome! I know that I will enjoy using the reports to analyze our energy usage. The rebate from the utility company was the icing on the cake!

Quality, look, feel and features are amazing. Set-up was extremely simple thanks to the guide set-up video on nest.com. We purchased it Jan 2018. My family loves the capablity of controlling the temp while away from home. I highly recommend.
