Except for this one irritating thing it works great. It will not display the current temperature unless you rotate the dial a little. It is more useful to have the current temp. displayed than the setpoint.

Helping environment and encouraging saving energy. The first nest upstairs did not connect to my phone returned it and bought a new one.

Thermostat was super easy to install. I like having the ability to change temp on smartphone, also like that I can track the energy usage on my phone.

Great product, but...

Nest makes a great thermostat but, being someone that likes to set things up solo, they need to provide instructions for heat pumps. I was continually being redirected to getting a Nest Pro. I did finally figure out how to hook it up with enough research, but it could've been made much easier with Nest instructions.

We had a thermostat thru our cable provider and it just never worked as appropriate as we wanted. This is great the app works away from home and the Google home works amazing with this

Superior design & function

I thought it would work well and look nice, but I’ve been astounded at just how great it looks and all of the small features that really go above and beyond. Everything from the motion activated display that lights up with large numbers and a specific color based on the operation to the effectiveness of the eco settings when away to save even more money. This thermostat is great for anyone, easy for less tech savvy people to use and filled with features for tech embracing users as well.
