Pretty neat thermostat!

So, we are in a two story house we are renting and the Nest was installed right before we moved in. I had no problem connecting WiFi to it and setting it up. I let it do its learning and after a couple of weeks I figured out that it was still a little bit off what I prefer, but I think it was more catered to the home owner's settings still. I went in to the schedule and set it up like I wanted and so far so good. It has been pretty cold here and my only issue is that this house is a two story with only one HVAC unit instead of two. The nest would work a lot better if there were dual HVACs because it is always 3 or more degrees warmer upstairs than downstairs where the thermostat is located. I have to adjust for that in my settings by making sure the heat turns off at a certain point or my upstairs ends up getting super hot while the downstairs is still a pretty cool 74. If this was a one story the Nest would be much easier to set schedule wise, but I have figured it out for the most part. It is pretty easy to set it up and change the temperature. The app is great too. I love being able to adjust the temp from upstairs if I wake up and it's a little too warm or cold. Our weather has been all over the place so I like being able to adjust it as necessary. The app is easy to use. It did take me a moment to figure out how to set the schedule in the app though.

Thermostat

The thermostat is great! It looks clean and modern and certainly less obtrusive than the rectangular thing full of buttons. This thermostat can be adjusted on the wall physically, but there’s never a need. You can schedule your environment, switch the modes to heating/cooling or a mix of in between. You can change the desired temperature all from your phone. Excellent piece of equipment.

Beautiful device

Had the Nest installed when replacing a furnace. It looks beautiful and works beautifully. The ability to program and monitor the furnace from a smartphone is awesome (only downside is trying to connect to an Alexa device is problematic).
The ability to keep our house at 60 degrees while away at our vacation cabin and then turn the heat back on from our phone before returning home is priceless.
Nest more than met our expectations and we highly recommend it.

A wonderful experience Just purchased the nest for my home the installation was simple once we got it running it works better than I expected it’s easy to set up and monitor I love that you can use your app on your phone to control the temperature in your home when you’re away and that also you can connected to other products That’s compatible to the software

I was amazed at how thorough the instructions for identifying compatibility and then instructions to install the nest were. I also absolutely love the learning feature. I did not think it could be as good as it is. My spouse will often turn the temp up to warm up quick but the nest will automatically adjust later on and make sure we're saving energy and money. The app is easy to use and functional and the monthly reports are nice to see as well, although I wish there was a bit more detail. Overall I'm incredibly impressed with my 3rd gen nest.
