To anyone who changes out there old thermostat to a nest, get ready for a pleasant surprise. I assure you that you will enjoy the ease and look of your new Nest thermostat unit. After a brief learning curve by this unit you will be sweep away as to how the unit will learn your pattern of life. And the saving for your over all heating an cooling will be notice after the first month of use.

Technology is great!

We have saved a ton on energy costs thanks to our Nest. Being able to control the temperature of our home from work or vacation from nearly anywhere is an outstanding feature. Pairing with voice control from our Alexa, astonishing. It is attractive, easy to use, and I can't imagine using any other thermostat after having had a Nest.

Needs improvement in many areas

Had difficulty setting up, despite the fact that all checks cleared my systems for compatability. Eventually removed the thermostats and required an electrician to install Cwire. Will attempt to re-install. If it doesn't work this time, I'll return both units. Not happy with setup ease, compatibility confirmations, nor lack of support in the absence of requiring "Pro" installation. Full technical support should exist in tandem with the units at this price.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
