I bought this as well as the x-talker handhelds about a month ago for driving with family out in the desert. The radio sounds very clear and the range is great. Definetly worth the purchase. Just waiting for the rest of my friends to buy into the system too

Installed this in my Polaris Ranger to use in hunting camp and around my property. I got purchased this radio a few weeks ago and haven't gotten to fully test it yet. However we did get one test in. With line of sight, or close to it, this thing reaches out a long distance. With houses and hills in the way distance reduces a lot, but that is just the nature of the beast. It is rather easy to use but some of the menu names could be simpler for us laymen. Navigating the settings take a little getting used to, but once you get it set up it seems to keep them well so it seems setup is only needed one time. Overall I am quite happy with the radio.
