Can't connect monitors

Bought 5 of these USB-C docking stations for our companies laptops so they could connect two monitors at the same time using the VGA and HDMI connections and they don't work. The only thing that works is connecting a mouse of keyboard to it to use an external keyboard and mouse. Even tried connecting just one VGA monitor to it and it won't work nor just the HDMI connecting.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

No 4K 60 FPS support

It's 2021 and this is still only 4K 30Hz (HDMI 1.4 standard), most monitors are already at 2K 60Hz+ but this thing can only do 1080P 60Hz

As explained here https://us.targus.com/blogs/discover-targus/how-to-use-a-targus-dock419-docking-station . If the DOCK419 is not working with an Alt. Mode host port, Targus offers a 2-year warranty. Please contact our customer service agents at 877-482-7487, Monday through Friday, 10Am EST to 7PM EST. We will be happy to assist you with a replacement if necessary.

Easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Targus USB-C DP Alt Mode Single Video 4K HDMI/VGA Docking Station with 100W PD Pass-Thru made hooking up and external monitor extremely easy for this not so tech savvy mom. I am now working from home and have two kiddos in virtual school so having easy options for multiple setups is great!

Wish he hadn't lost his job and was still using it. Hopefully it will be of use again when he gets his next job. If you need a workstation...get this one!!

Only one display works on this. So you connect either USB-C to Display port or HDMI or VGA, that is it. Waste of money.

Great docking station for on the go!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This little docking station does it all and is a tiny form factor. It has VGA and HDMI so you should be able to use most monitors. It connects via USB type c and is the size of my palm in total. Totally mobile device. A++
